Started the day with creamy chocolate oatmeal topped with banana, puffed millet, pomegranate seeds, dark chocolate and peanutbutter today 😋🍫.
It was pretty cold and foggy this morning but now the sun and blue sky are back ☀️🍁.
Can't wait to go outside later! But first I'm gonna continue cleaning up and getting rid of some things I don't need anymore.. getting closer to that minimalistic lifestyle haha 😃. Clearing out some stuff just feels so amazing!
One sentence that my art teacher said was: "You can throw everything away that you didn't use for one year!" And I feel like it's true for almost everything!
I get distracted very easily and the less things I have lying around the easier it is for me to focus on what's important! Do you feel the same way?
Happy Friday 💕
Man braucht eigentlich so wenige Dinge wirklich!

Pumpkin Spice Latte 🎃🍁 recipe for jugs: 1/4 cup of pumpkin purée, 2 cups of plant milk, 2 shots of espresso, vanilla extract, 1 tbsp maple syrup, 1/2 tbsp pumpkin spice (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves), optional: vegan whipped cream (difficult to find but you can also make it yourself with coconut milk*). Add pumpkin, milk, vanilla, maple syrup in a casserole and warm it up on medium heat. Remove from stove and add the remaining ingredients, use a foaming device to make the milk foamy. ** to make vegan whip cream with coconut milk you need to buy a can of normal coconut milk and store it in the fridge over night, in the morning, the liquid and fat will have separated, put the fat only in a bowl and add vanilla sugar, use an electric whisk to reach whip cream consistency! In this recipe i just used the foaming device and it was delicious and foamy 😋
PUMPKIN BREAD WITH SALTED CARAMEL ICING 🧡🍂
Taste-tested and more than approved by my work mates 💯 and by me of course (it’s definitely a one slice more kind of cake 😜) Happy baking, Sarah x
200g flour (use plain white, spelt or whole-wheat)
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
320g pumpkin purée (just steam and mash fresh pumpkin)
2 eggs/for vegan version: 2 flax seed eggs (mix 2 tbsp flax seeds with 6 tbsp water and set aside for 10 minutes)
120ml coconut oil
150g brown light sugar or coconut sugar
For the icing:
Salted caramel sauce:
1.5 tbsp water
60ml coconut milk
1 tsp fleur de sel
For the final icing:
50g vegan butter
50g caramel sauce (see above)
125g icing sugar
Preheat the oven to 175°C/350°C. In one bowl mix the flour with the baking powder and all the spices. In another bowl mix all the other ingredient, combine both mixtures and beat until well incorporated and you have a smooth batter. Prepare a loaf tin with baking paper, fill in the batter and bake for 50min.
Start making the caramel sauce. Pour the water and sugar in a pan over medium heat and swirl the pan gently until the sugar has dissolved. Turn up the heat and let the syrup boil until you have a golden color. In another bowl, heat the coconut milk with the salt over medium heat, gently add the syrup and stir quickly to prevent it sticks to the bottom of the pan. The mixture will start to thicken. Let it cool down. Once the cake is baked, let it cool down completely as well and prepare the frosting by beating the butter with the caramel sauce, then add the icing sugar and beat for around one minute until the mixture is smooth and lump-free. Ice the top of the cake and decorate with banana chips (optional). .

FRIYAY 🥞⭐️ Starting Friday strong with a stack of caramelised banana & peanut butter pancakes 🍂 Maybe a little extravagant but hey, we all deserve a fabulous breakfast 💁🏻♀️ I love to make pancakes! It took me a little while to perfect a good free-from & healthier recipe I was super proud of but now I have it mastered 👌🏼🥄 That’s the key to free-from bake....persistence!
• 100g buckwheat flour or regular gluten free flour • 1 ripe banana
• 120ml almond milk
• 2 tbsp flaxseed mixed with 6 tbsp water
• 2 tbsp maple syrup
• 2 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp coconut oil for cooking
• Optional additional toppings – caramelised banana, peanut butter, Cacao nibs 🍫
1️⃣ Mix the brown flaxseed and the water together then leave for 5 minutes to form into a thick paste
2️⃣ Add the flour, banana, almond milk, maple syrup, cinnamon and baking powder to a blender along with the now thickened flaxseed mixture. Blend until a thick, creamy mixture forms
3️⃣ Add the coconut oil to a frying pan over a low-medium heat and allow to gently warm for a couple of minutes before adding around 1/4 of the pancake batter to the frying pan using a large spoon or ladle
4️⃣ Allow the pancake to cook for around 3 minutes or one side (or until bubbles begin to form on the surface) then flip and cook for a further 2-3 minutes on the other side. Remove the pancake form the pan and repeat with the rest of the mixture until it’s all used up. You should make about 4 mini pancakes
5️⃣ Stack the pancakes and top with the anything you fancy!
I haven’t had a smoothie for breakfast in aaaages, mainly because it’s so cold in my flat in the morning that all I want is something warm, but also partially because the prospect of washing my food processor before work feels like an insurmountable task ✌🏻 BUT this one was worth the washing up ordeal because it tasted great and was totally perfect for tired Friday Charlotte 💕 RASPBERRY ALMOND BUTTER SMOOTHIE BOWL >> 2 frozen bananas, 1/2 cup frozen raspberries, 3 tbsp almond butter, 2 medjool dates, 1 tbsp flaxseed (optional), pinch salt + cinnamon, 1 cup almond milk ~ blended until creamy and topped with fresh figs, @upfullfood
gf cacao granola, more almond butter and a dollop of raspberry @eatchamuk
(which, btw, is revolutionary 🙏🏻) sWiPe FoR gRatUiToUs SmOoThIe ViDeO and evidence that all my plants are dying xx
the leaves might be changing but our love for caramels never will ♥️

“What am I CRAVING?” ✨
It has taken me a long time to truly trust what I “thought” I was craving versus what my body was ACTUALLY craving!
And it’s taken building a relationship with it to get to the point where I can clearly see where my brain and taste buds have been conditioned to crave 〰️ versus 〰️ what my body is actually needing. ✨
Because here’s what I am learning more and more every day - there is a big difference between knowing the nutritional content of something and between eating something that you think will be healthy for you because the world has told you it is.
It’s SO easy to get hooked up on things like “you SHOULD eat this” and “this is the best thing for you!” ... but who is to say what is and what is not?.... well easy - YOU!
For anyone wanting to start to eat better for what THEIR body needs (and not because you’re being told to by social media, friends, family etc) here are the questions you need to ask yourself...
1 - Is what I am eating alive or was once alive or come from the earth? Does it have energy?
2 - Does my body feel comfortable and energised after eating it?
3 - Is my body CRAVING IT?!!!
I say this because I’ve eaten a wholllllle lot of un-healthy things that my body was NOT craving... and didn’t enjoy it and ALSO eaten a lot of “healthy” things... and also didn’t enjoy it!!!
So here’s to a future where we eat food that makes our body thrive that we GENUINELY want!!!
This burger is from @vegbarhobart
is West Hobart, soooo damn good.

Our choc mint slice 🤤 this was a big seller for us at the @remarkables_market
last season! We now offer this in our bite size range (my dad’s favourite) so good 🤩. A wee bit sad we won’t be at the @remarkables_market
this weekend, but if we get the chance to make one before Christmas we will let you know ASAP 😍

Who’s into fruit infused water? Im getting into detox water = (filtered) water immersed with fresh fruits, vegetables or herbs. The added ingredients release over time certain nutrients and boost its taste.
It’s a double whammy and helps not only to hydrate your body but supplies it with vitamins and minerals. Some nutritionists claim that you can get up to 20% of the vitamin content of freshly squeezed fruit juice, all without the extra fructose or calories. 🤟💦🍇🍒🍋🥒
Sometimes salads can be salads without any greens, because I said so. 🤓 This COZY CAULIFLOWER SALAD is such a salad, with loads of colorful cauli roasted to perfection and topped with all the fresh herbs and my favorite oil free tahini dressing! 👌 Inspired by the Whole Foods hot bar and my love for veggies in a plethora of colors. 🌈 If you don’t have different colored cauli try throwing broccoli in for a color variation! I’m making this as part of dinner tonight after yoga! 🧘♀️ It’s colder out today so I need something with “cozy” as part of the title. 😂 Happy Friday Eve! Recipe link in my profile!
Trying something new is scary. 😳
The possibility of failing? That's scary too.
BUT not trying and possibly passing up on it ACTUALLY working out for you?
THAT, girl, is the scariest thing of all. .
October 22nd is your next opportunity to try that new something scary. 💪 You and me, girl - we got this. .
This comes with a money back guarantee even. Unlike that college degree I've attempted a few times. 🙈

What can you eat that does not need a spoon or a plate?!
A SAMMY! Okay you may want a plate for this creamy egg sandwich tho hehe 🙊. I used to love egg sammies as a child so I thought I should whip one up for lunch today! 😋
Instead of mayo, I mashed an avocado and mixed it with greek yogurt! 🥑 I added a couple of boiled eggs, celery, spices and smeared it on some @daveskillerbread
! 😍 Def doing the happy dance right now! 🤗 I also love that Daves killer bread came out with thin sliced edition for only 80 calories too!
Oh and guess what! It is almost the weekend! I am super excited because two of my best friends are coming into town! ♥️ Thinking of having a cauliflower pizza party! Yep I am wild one! 😉🍕

When you buy a big bag of sweet potatoes, you pull out your spiralizer and make some (okay a lot) sweet potato noodles 🤗.
This has been my lunch for the week and it’s so good and easy to prep! From start to finish this took me about 30 minutes and lunch was set. That’s winning in my book 🙌🏻.
Sweet potato noodle fall salad:
2 medium sweet potatoes, spiralized (I left the skin on for some extra fiber)
1 package cubes butternut squash @traderjoes
1 container sliced mushrooms
1 bell pepper, diced
1/2 red onion, diced
1 brunch of kale or other leafy green
Honey coat cheese chunks 🤩
1 package of @quornusa
I roasted the veggies at 400 F for 25-30 minutes. Tossed with olive oil, salt and pepper. While the veggies were roasting I spiralized the sweet potatoes and cooked for about 5 minutes. I added everything together + the cooked chik’n and coated in honey mustard yogurt dressing from @bolthousefarms
So so good! Oh and the goat cheese is my favorite part of this 😋.
