It had to be done. The first tech review is the Airpods. Been flexing with these for over a year now. When these were first previewed at WWDC, I completely didn’t see the point in these overpriced wireless headphones. I gave so much hate on these Airpods on twitter. Then one day i saw my friend have them. Now when he connected it to his phone seamlessly without even touching his phone just took me away. The technology in this which is the W1 chip make the Airpods pair to the phone seamlessly. You don’t need to press anything to pair the Airpods, only in the initial set up.
Coming in at £160 is a bit too pricey but you be flexing on everyone still. The W1 chip makes the pairing process so smooth. The tap feature on both headphones make the practicality of the headphones great. Two taps and I can change to the next song. You can customise the tap fatigues in the setting to what you want it. But you have to remember it is limited.i really do love the fact that if I take out one earpiece, whatever I am listening to stops automatically and when I put it back on, it starts playing again. It’s lightning charge and comes with a cable. Being an apple user already I didn’t need to worry about cables since I have loads. Battery life was good when I first got it. But now it lasts me around 1 hour. I only use these on my journeys and it always lasts for me.
Overall, I’d give the Airpods an 8/10. The practicality and the seamless pairing make the whole experience amazing but the sound quality can be better.
