Here we go again...♩♫♪♬
Went from almost zero snow...to a beautiful four inches (and it’s still flyin’). Good day to stay in the barn, fire up the wood burning stove...and work on little projects. ❄︎
Because of this day 2,000 years ago we can “rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory.”
Hallelujah, Jesus lives!
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,
who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials,
so that the tested genuineness of your faith-more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire-may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,
obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”
1 Peter 1:3-9
Just returned from a blissful five-day solo journey at Chena Hot Springs. Spent mornings and evenings soaking, and practically had the place to myself. During the day and again later at night, I explored the silent and nearly vacant nearby forest. Made friends with a family of otters and countless birds, even a juvenile bald eagle! Spent time listening to the Chena River breaking up and flowing, and was able to hear the movement of moose, herds of hoofed creatures, and other large mammals roaming the forest, without the audible disruption of more civilized sounds. Spent time with new blossoms, mushrooms and fresh, green ground-cover, before enjoying two days of beautiful snowfall. I also think I may have even found some gold! Silent meditation, soaking in hot natural water, writing, reading, making art, and lots of nature time was exactly what I needed. Ready for the next phase....
