What do you think of when you hear the word "joy"? Family? Friends? Alone time? Maybe finding bliss on your yoga mat, or relaxing in a hot bath with a glass of wine.
Do you have a hard time finding joy? Our sense of smell can play a huge roll in our mood. On grey, gloomy days, a citrus oil like Lime or Bergamot can immediately bring a bit of sunshine in to your home. Bergamot creates a feeling of self-acceptance and optimism, while Lime elevates. 🍹🍹🍹Is it just me or does this look like a cocktail? I look forward to it like a cocktail. Sounds cliche but it’s changing my life. I usually hit a brick wall in the middle of the day after doing mommy things all morning and then thinking about doing them all evening when all I usually want to do is take a nap. I used to drink pop around now to try and give me a boost, it’s now been two weeks of not a single soda. So happy! This is mommas miracle cocktail. Everyone has to try it. 🍹🍹🍹

As Dusti and her family prepare for the arrival of baby Domier number 2, I asked her to share what she will be packing in her hospital bag for emotional support! Unfortunately she couldn't pack a bottle of wine, so here is her labour and delivery essential oil arsenal;
"•Clary Calm - obviously with going through labour, having something to help with the uterine contractions is necessary. This oil saved my life when having really horrible period cramps, and I have heard that post labour it is incredibly useful. .
•Forgive - Labour is very emotional for me. There is a part of me that has guilt that my first child did not survive birth, it was due to a fatal medical condition and there was nothing that could have been done to save him. but as a mother, I always feel this sense of guilt that I didn't do enough, I could have done more. This blend has allowed me to sit in meditation and truly work through a lot of those guilty feelings. However, those guilty feelings to come to the surface during intense moments, so I will have this blend with me to ensure that I remember to forgive myself and move through the emotions.
•Lavender Touch- With my anxiety, I need something to help me feel calm in the case that I get upset. I find lavender really soothing and comforting.
•Motivate - When I was in labour last time, I felt like there were a few times that I really was losing it and couldn't quite focus on what I needed to, how to breathe, how to get through the contractions. I love the motivate blend because it really helps me to wake up and feel more focused and centred on what I need to do. "

Dry and sensitive skin is a constant struggle for everyone in my house, especially in winter months. Personally, my face suffers the most. The more often I wash my face the worse it gets. If you ever step out of the shower and feel like you have a sunburn all over your face, you know what I'm talking about. Sore, tight, itchy, flakey skin. I've actually had to stop washing my face because it gets so irritated... *gasp* don't tell Rachel Hollis! What I DO is splash some cold water on my face, pat dry, and apply some moisturizer every night. I use Glaxal Base (go ahead, judge me ladies) mixed with Geranium and Patchouli. The ratio I have found that works the best for my skin is about 10 drops of oil per 2 tablespoons of cream. Geranium oil is a miracle worker for skin problems, whether it is dry skin, acne, or wrinkles... She's got you covered. Patchouli... what isn't it good for?! It smells SOOOO good, and can help clear up eczema, acne, and dandruff with it's awesome anti-inflammatory benefits. Both oils promote blood circulation, and I have yet to get that "greasy" skin feeling. It's so dang nice. Best part? I haven't had an issue with dry, itchy skin since I started using it! ♡
You see that little white tube in the picture up there? That's Correct-X, and it's magic. I'm obviously not going to put face cream on my lips, but those suckers suffer just as bad as the rest of my face. So what am I to do? Throw away the grocery store lip balms that don't actually work, and apply liberal amounts of Correct-X! With Lavender, Frankincense, Tea Tree, Helichrysum and Cedarwood, it is a powerhouse for moisturizing, fighting infection, and healing wounds. It's my new "polysporin", and it works like a dream.

Mosope Idowu or MO as many of her friends fondly call her is the fit mama in charge at Bethel Fit Mum. She and her hubby are blessed when 3 beautiful kiddos currently aged 6, 4 and 7 months. She is an engineer by profession and has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 10 years. Mosope’s passion however is fitness. She is passionate about educating and supporting and moms in prenatal and postpartum fitness.
Bethel Fit Mum was born just over 3 years ago after Mosope had her second baby. Through the platform Mosope shared her own fitness journey as a busy mama of (then) two littles under 3. She has now added another little to the mix and though her days are little crazier she still finds joy and fulfillment in exercise. Through the Bethel Fit Mum platform Mosope is able to share her journey as well as help other mamas of little ones through her group training programs, one-on-one training and in-person fitness classes.

It's been -25 for weeks now. Its damn cold outside. It is so cold that it hurts to breathe in the cold air. Yes, it would also hurt to breathe in -35 cold air, but that doesn't make the -25 cold air less cold. Make sense?
We have enough people out there telling us that we are doing everything wrong. Be kind to yourself and know that it's okay to say this is hard!

Day 1 of my new workout challenge was a success! It was hard but so worth it!
I am thankful that I can fit it in during my lunch break and I am also thankful that I had my workout partner, Lacy, to partake in the fun along with a few other familiar faces!
