TESTimonial: “I was so excited to be looking for a single-family home with an acre of land, newly renovated, spacious and enough land to add a pool later. My children would have a better school district, safe playing environment and no crime. O how excited me and my husband were. I had been at my job for 9 years and had a 401K that was doing well, which I would use as a down payment for my new home. My husband started his new contracting business and we were very excited about his new venture. After finding a home that we really loved, we called our realtor to make an offer on what we thought would be our new home - the next day the realtor advised us that someone had made a better offer. Initially we were disappointed, but quickly shifted our energy to Allah and what he had decreed for us. Allah had saved us from later hardship. Almost immediately the recession that had started would change what we thought would be our happiness. This is when Allah sparked something deep into my heart that would allow me to understand his favor and his protection of the believer.
Allah protected me and my family from losing a home that we thought we should have. I was laid off in 2010, a couple months after making an offer on the home. My husband also had to dismantle his business due to the recession. Allah protected us from having to possibly go through a foreclosure and paying for a home at a time when the value of homes was increased immensely. Sometimes what we plan and envision our lives to be is not reality - Allah is the best of planners. Always remember, and this is to myself first, that Allah gives us what we want and need sometimes and other times Allah puts us in situations or tests us to teach us a lesson. Either way, we must always say Alhamdulillah and not fret over what we think this DUNYA has for us because knows what is best for us. Trust in Allah and you will never be disappointed Insha’Allah.” #CanIGetAnAmeen
