An overly acidic condition weakens the body and can become dangerous. Our body requires a slightly alkaline condition to function well. Blood, for example, needs to be at 7.4 pH. A shift in blood pH of just 0.2 could result in death. Obviously, the body does not want to die, so it is forced to borrow minerals (calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium) from vital organs and bones to neutralize the acid.
Eating acid-forming foods can do the following:
1️⃣ Deplete the minerals in your body.
2️⃣ The risk of heart attack and stroke increases due to the build-up of plaque and weakened blood vessels.
3️⃣ Dry and wrinkled skin
4️⃣ Blood sugar fluctuations and diabetes are more likely.
5️⃣ Digestive problems, including constipation.
6️⃣ Weight Gain
7️⃣ Weakened immune system, glands and organs.
8️⃣ Headaches and depression.
9️⃣ Cancer THRIVES in an acidic environment, and doesn't survive in a normal, more alkaline environment.
Too much acidity is an underlying factor in many degenerative disease like diabetes, arthritis, fibromyalgia and more.
If you haven’t been eating a very healthy diet, full of fresh fruit and vegetables, your body is probably too acidic. Try alkaline waters like coconut and maple in addition to your greens! Animal-based foods are acidic.
