Allergies! For those who struggle with them, they can be downright miserable! 😟
I know, because ever since I was a toddler, I struggled with them. In preschool, I went through all the testing and found out I was allergic to close to 30 different things!
7 years of allergy shots followed by years and years of prescription medications, and I was still miserable most of the year. 😔
But not anymore! Since starting some amazing supplements targeting gut health, my allergies have been almost nonexistent! I have taken 2 OTC allergy pills in the last year! Google “allergies and gut health” and see for yourself why getting your gut healthy make such a difference for allergy sufferers!
Even my little guys take these supplements ! 😊
Here is another amazing allergy testimony!
Rachel B’s first test showed she was #allergic
to 623 things, mostly food. Isn’t that like all the things?!?! 😯
After rebuilding her #guthealth
she re-tested: ONLY 7 AIRBORN ALLERGIES! and NO FOOD allergies! 😲 ☝️Just in case you wonder why I am passionate about gut health! ☝️🙌❤🌱

What is the Apex difference? The Apex difference is thinking critically about each problem before arriving at the correct diagnosis rather than a “one size fits all” approach!

Egg, milk, peanut, and tree nut allergy are the most common food allergies.
Tuesday, July 10 daily dare and gratitude: had an allergy check-up today and asked my doctor if I could stop allergy stops since I haven’t gotten them in two months and herbs and meds have managed them.🤞He encouraged me to continue them through the end of the year. Okay, I can live with that. 🙋♀️#allergies #allergyshots #herbs

💉 Is that spot sore afterwards? Use this massage bar to bring relief to sore tissue.
This bar was made for women going through #invitro
and is used after shots to the backside.
It has quickly become a favorite of both men and women 👌The bar is good for those tender areas no matter what kind of injections you are receiving.
The NUBS in this bar get deep. Keep it in the fridge for extra hardness and cooling❄relief.

Today we are spotlighting a member of our staff...meet Haley Crouch, P.A.! Haley is originally from Greenwich, Ohio and joined the Apex team in 2016. She graduated from Gardner Webb University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and then got her Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Wake Forest Medical School in 2008. Haley loves developing relationships with people and getting to know their life stories. She is thankful to have the opportunity to help patients with their medical problems, but often finds that they teach her something valuable throughout the process as well. Apex is so lucky to have her on our team!
💉 today which include 🐱 #cat
🐶. It would be amazing to be able to get a non- #hypoallergenic
dog breed one day in the future but mostly I’d love to have my #tree #allergy
improve significantly! Now just waiting for 20 minutes to make sure I don’t have a reaction.
I just started immunotherapy! 💉It was 100% covered by Aetna 🙌. I'm going to post a video with more information about it tonight or tomorrow so comment any questions that you want me to answer.
that there are actually no hypoallergenic dogs🐶🐶
Allergy shot fun. Every week I drive an hour each way for allergy shots. I had major surgery on my sinuses back in April. For the first time in my life I have been headache free, sinus infection free, and pain free for more than a month at a time. I’m no longer on antibiotics every other month. Something had to give and I finally went to see an ENT. I didn’t realize how much it was all affecting my hearing and sense of taste. I’m so thankful I went through with the surgery and so glad I can breathe again! Thank you Dr. Goldberg in Johns Creek GA. #ent #allergyshots #allergic #foodallergies #histamine #benadryl #reaction
Ending your weekend with a quick Apex fact! #didyouknow
there is a way to determine the severity of your peanut allergy through a special blood test. Call and make an appointment with us so we can help!
that 10-30% of the U.S. population is wheat sensitive?
Picking up allergy drops! I’m so excited to start these, but the first pick up apt is always uncomfortable. To make sure you don’t react too strongly to the solution, they have you take an entire day’s dose and monitor you for 10 minutes (15 for me). Within minutes my mouth started feeling puffy, I started itching, and my migraine got worse- now after 10 my throat is starting to feel thick. Not anaphylactic, just thick and uncomfortable. It’s great to be able to do immunotherapy sublingually instead of via shots 🙏🏻✨ Next we’re off for a little lunch and another go at having labs done. Fingers crossed! 🤞🏻😬
you can be allergic to crustacean, mollusks, or both🦀
Second round of allergy shots. I'm guessing the nurse stopped after work because I welted up. Now post traoning, it's one big welt. Ouch!!! Was all in my head today, feeling exhausted, and tried to convince myself out of training. Glad I went. Even though I could barely last through the warm up, I ended up doing 4/5 rounds of sparring. I'm spent and ready to eat. #allergyshots #yuck #ouch #training #jiujitsu #jiujitsugirls #girlsthatroll
We are always so grateful for the benefits that our allergy patients get from allergen immunotherapy. You may have heard of this treatment in humans, and it’s the same thing for cats and dogs! Intradermal skin testing allows our dermatologist to determine which environmental allergens are troubling your pet. Our dermatologist can then develop a serum, that is specific to your pet, and it will slowly train the body to no longer react to the allergens. Itchy skin, chronic ear infections, chewing at the paws, and hair loss, are all common signs of allergies. 😊
