celebrated Spice Week tonight and we thought we would too, as we are nuts for, well, nuts - and spices! From a pinch of cinnamon and pure vanilla to Peruvian maca, we naturally flavour our nut butters with spices - not by adding a type of sugar or naturally sourced sweetener; additives or preservatives.
My favourite is cinnamon and cumin - what’s yours?

The creamiest oats I've ever made plus a sweet n juicy nectarine🙌🌺the key is to stir the entire time! (Well almost, I covered it for the first half and once it starts to bubble, start to stirrrr😂) yesterday we spent a few good hours getting an oil change🚙then went to Goodwill and started to pack for our trip!😄today I'm taking my two midterms/tests for this semester then I'm done with school for a few weeks for Fall break (I'm missing the last three days of the quarter🙈) when do you guys have Fall break?🍂if you do haha I know there are some people who haven't been back at school for long, but we've already had nine weeks😱anywho, I wish you all a lovely Tuesday💛🌞

Monday got nada on this a.m. meal. To make: 1/2 cup oats ◽️scant 1/2 cup milk of choice ◽️1/2 banana, sliced ◽️sprinkle of raisins (or chopped dates) ◽️dash of cinnamon ◽️1/4 tspn matcha ◽️1 tbsp ground flaxseed. Combine and leave in fridge overnight. Top with your faves in the morning—mine include crunchy almond butter (dur) + cacao nibs.

there are endless toast combos, but i somehow always revert to: farmers market rye seeded bread with almond butter, yellow nectarine, pumpkin pie spice, and black sesame seeds...it’s just TOOOO good. have a wonderful friday y’all 🍞

almond butter 😍😍 WHY is nut butter the perfect snack??
It’s full of healthy fats, protein, and fiber, all of which give you sustainable energy and keep you full! Everyone is different, but I personally feel my best eating more fat and less carbs in my daily diet, so it’s the perfect lower carb snack 🙌🏻
And it can always be paired with carbs like rice cakes, fruit, oatmeal, etc if you prefer more carbs in your diet 😜 You need some fats and protein with them to make them more satisfying and prevent that blood sugar spike!
I prefer raw or sprouted almond butter to peanut butter because it has twice as much fiber and micronutrients, and the high temperature roasting of the peanuts destroys their healthy monounsaturated fats (also true for roasted almond butters!!). Peanuts also contain a carcinogenic mold called aflatoxin 🙀 Fine to have every once and awhile, but almonds are much better if nut butter is a daily staple for you like it is for me!
