London, Impressions from Thursday, Part I
The day was supposed to be a bit calmer, so the visit to National Galery was on the schedule.
Pleasant was in addition to free admission the relaxation of the staff, the good and reasonable arrangement of the rooms and of course the great collection of classical painting!
Leaving the Alte Nationalgalerie Berlin.
The original museum openend in 1876, so the building in itself is worth a visit.
With it’s nowadays 1800 paintings & 1500 sculptures it contains a vast collection of masterpieces. So, if possible, take your time and don’t rush it.
The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00h to 18:00h, on Thursday even to 20:00h.
Regular entrance fee is 10€, and I‘d recommend to take a Museum-Island-Ticket for 18€ so you can visit all 5 big museums in the vicinity.
