And we’re back off to Saskatchewan for another few days in the fields 🌱 Thankful for 48 hours at home to get in a spicy scramble with @andsheclimbs
, do some laundry and studying, and have a chance to bug @jer_boych
Words from the weekend: “There are SO many hours in the day!”
Typically, I’m arguing the opposite. I’m complaining about the lack of hours to get everything in. If I’m investing enough time into work and school, I worry my relationships are suffering. If I’m spending quality time with friends and adventure time, I worry I’m not accomplishing my goals. But I’m starting to realize there truly is time to fit in the things I choose to prioritize. And if it’s not today, then maybe it was meant for tomorrow. It’s meant letting go of a few things this week that didn’t deserve a spot in the priority line, and being ok with that. Thanks @andsheclimbs
for the reminder about how full and beautiful we can truly make this life (and for being overall awesome) ✌️
Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.
Spent the afternoon in Sonoma and had a delicious lunch at The Girl & The Fig restaurant. Absolutely love all of the historic architecture - the colonial-era plaza is surrounded by 19th-century adobe buildings including Mission San Francisco Solano and the Sonoma Barracks, once used by the Mexican military. Now back to the city to catch up on some work before tomorrow’s meetings...

friendly reminder that sometimes anxiety/depression looks like smiles and laughs and a whole lot of happiness. my joy shares a home in my body with my anxiety & I fight every day to let joy win. someone asked me recently why I had anxiety, and I responded “why was my mother diagnosed with cancer?” idk. anyways. pursue joy. surround yourself with humans that fight for you when you can’t fight for yourself. give yourself grace. ask for help. cry when you need to, laugh when you can. give love within your capacity. receive love, especially when you’re feeling empty. receive from others and know it doesn’t make you weak. know this battle you’re fighting makes you strong.
Beyond the trees, there lies a door....a door to untold secrets.

I couldn’t have timed this picture out better if I tried! While exploring the Mission District in San Francisco, I was so enamored by the architecture of the house, the colors, the blooming trees... I’m pretty sure I looked like an absolute panicked tourist. (No shame there honestly, like, who wouldn’t be in a place as gorgeous as SF?) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Right as I centered this tree in the middle of my shot, this vivacious little red car parallel parked smack dab in center. I couldn’t press my shutter fast enough!
Our first week of marriage spent on the honeymoon was about as hazy, lazy, & dreamy as this photo! Wonderful week spent with my wonderful wife, but we’re back in the states & excited to go to OUR HOME together. Can’t wait to get into a little weekly groove with each other.
❄️Double tap if you’d like to see this sky in #Norway
It feels like forever ago
You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off of you. – Maya Angelou || A look behind the camera as our amazing videography, TJ gets the shot. #behindthescenes #2020stories
The other day I was reminded of a conversation I had once while working on a farm in Chile with the kids. The farmer had asked why we didn’t wait to travel until our kids are grown, because, as he said, “kids are difficult.” I explained that we love spending time with our kids and we wanted to have these experiences with them before they leave us, so we purposely travel while they are still around. I told him that yes, it is very difficult to raise kids, but the joy is worth it. He was baffled and said, “Joy??” This was not something he had associated with his kid before and it broke my heart.
Find joy in your kids. Have fun with them, go on adventures and make memories with them, before they leave and you have to adventure without them.
Yesterday was beautiful. Most of our squadron is now home and seeing our families reunite was the absolute best. I’m still waiting on Josh - tomorrow is the big day ☺️
Time for a change⠀
And time for me to share all the work that I make. This is from last year when I rented out a #Fujix100t
for an entire week, just to try it out. ⠀
Every day during my lunch break I would walk around Lower Manhattan and just take photos of what was happening. I loved doing this. I shall do this more! ⠀
Heaven is a place on earth with you tell me all the things you want to do 🎶
