Pardon my french . . . . This excuse will always make me scratch my head. I have seen people with multiple jobs, going to class, kids, single mothers with kids, and every other potential excuse in the book, I have seen these people go to work. I’ve seen someone with all of that and no legs put in work in the gym. Drop the weak mindset and get to work. Nobody is expecting you to be superman. 30 minutes a day, good intensity, 3-4 times a week, and you’ll be golden. Set up for the week🤗 • • Reality is, if you want results you have to commit to some prepping time. The kitchen is where the results are, not the gym. • • My Sunday’s consists of a little lie in, hit the gym, come home and prep, and do any work I haven’t finished, if no work needs doing chill the fuck out. • • Prepping is time consuming but it so worth it. It can be the make or break of popping out to the shop for your lunch break in work because you ‘didn’t have time to make food this morning’. There’s always time and balance to life. Sometimes you just have to make that time and give up an extra hour or half hour of you time. #satisfying #mealprep

I add this extra interval cardio after circuit or strength training, twice a week. It doesn’t matter in what order, but I start on Treadmill and finish with Rowing. 👟👟 Interval training, to mix high- and low intensity, is good for boost your fitness level and also a calorie burner. Plus, if you are short on time, this mini-workout is efficient for sure. But you have to work hard, REALLY push yourself under the high intense part😅 Under low intense part, your heart rate should be on level: you are able to talk without loosing your breath. 👟👟 Treadmill Walk 3 min, warm up, low speed Walk 2 min, medium speed Run 2 min, high speed Walk 1 min, medium speed Run 2 min, high speed Rest 1 min 👟👟 SkiEdg / Crosstrainer / Rowing machine: 2 min, medium speed Active rest 20 sec = continue workout in low speed 2 min, high speed Active rest 20 sec = continue workout in low speed 2 min, medium speed Rest 1 min between sets and swap to next cardio machine. Round up with 5 min on low speed, cool down, let your heart rate go back to normal again. We hear the word motivation everywhere in fitness, most notably in its negative state. Sadly people quit exercise often because this mythical thing we call motivation wanes. The number 1 thing we try and get across to our members and clients is that they need to forget all about being motivated to exercise. If they rely on their motivation to get them to their goals they will fail. We live and love exercise, mostly lol but even so there are many occasions where if we let how "motivated" we were at that time determine how and if we exercised we would not reach the goals we have done. The word people need to replace motivation with is DISCIPLINE. We are not motivated to do a lot of things in life but accept that if we want somewhere nice to live or to have enough food on the table we have to work hard and be disciplined. People need to accept that if they want the body, fitness level or health they crave they have to be disciplined enough to keep on track when life tries. To get in their way. If not they cannot expect to reach those goals. There are a huge number of distractions in your life but building discipline into your training will be the cornerstone to what you can achieve. Today I was in a bit of a funk. I was tired, grumpy, unmotivated and just not feeling it. I constantly tell my clients how there is always time for a workout, how exercise makes you feel better, and no matter how much you do, whether it be 10min or hour, something is better then nothing. So after sitting there thinking how much better I knew I would feel if I did a workout, I got up and moved my body. I was sweaty, puffed, only took me 25 min and I was done. There is nothing except yourself stopping you from exercising. Doesn’t have to be a full on workout, but just a walk. Just something to move your body and improve your health. YOU are the decider on what you do, what you put in your mouth, what you say and how you feel. Let’s talk time? I remember being a Personal trainer and clients saying to me. “ I work to much don’t have time to train” “shift works killing me I can’t do it” “ kids get in the way no time at all” blah blah blah. Thing is now I’m in a real job 😂 I see that all those excuses where bullshit. We have 24hrs in a day to get shit done, eat healthy, or train in the gym. If that means getting up at 4am or coming in at 4pm there’s always time.
