Kraken Black Spiced Rum never disappoints when they host events. Last year they turned Sydney’s @viconthepark
into a dark and twisted carnival complete with a 4m helter skelter and a plethora of kraken black infused cocktails and food. This year, Sydney’s famous @portenosydney
was transformed into a dark and ever so creepy Christmas wonderland.
On arrival, guests were welcomed with a delicious Spiced Egg Fogg - A delightful twist on traditional eggnog with plenty of spices, orange marmalade and plenty of @krakenrum
What followed was a feast for all the senses; Mulled wine braised octopus, cuttlefish rice, Spiced black pudding (which was actually to die for), Kraken kraut, black garlic beef rib, charred carrots and juniper gravy and to finish, ash Kraken rum baba, liquorice cream.
Along with the banquet, we were served with accompanying cocktails. Sucker Punch - A delicious aperitivo-style cocktail with pineapple, lime and bitter orange liqueur, Sea Spector - A spiced rum old fashioned-style cocktail and to finish, Kraken Espresso Martini - A dark twist on everyone’s favourite classic and my favourite cocktail of the evening.
A very fun evening had by all and I can’t wait what spooky fun Kraken Black Spiced Rum hold in the near future.
