The mornings are definitely getting darker and colder 🌚🌬❄️ wish I could just stay in bed all day with Sansa 🐶 how hard is it when your pet doesn’t understand why they’re in pain and you just want to make them feel better 😭💔
Many years ago the words “marine debris” may have conjured up thoughts of driftwood, fishing nets and buoys.
Driftwood nowadays is seen as artwork, and marine debris brings forth thoughts of plastic pieces scattered across the beach. .🌏
No matter what beach you’re strolling along - be it a tropical paradise or a city harbour stroll, take the time to pick up 3 pieces of rubbish. “Take 3 for the sea.” Don’t forget to enjoy the outdoors and breathe in the fresh ocean air. .💚

Went to my old friend Isha’s house today to see how he was doing. I haven’t seen him in 4 years! He was saying he’s trying to sell half of his taxi company Isha’s Taxis in Ambleside. So I said I’d invest. The HQ is in Ambleside but taxis are all over the country !
September 18, 2018. I am a few days behind with my posts, it seems 🤣. On Saturday we left The Cotswolds for the Lake District, which was a five-hour drive on very congested highway 🤦🏽♀️. Luckily, I’m familiar with congested highways haha.
These next sets of photos are from Sunday, when we went on a leisurely cruise on a beautiful sunny day on Lake Windermere, followed by a relaxing walk because Junior wanted to take photos with the sheep that seems to be everywhere.
Lake Windermere is the biggest lake in England, and the area also serves as the water catchment area for Manchester.
We took a 30-minute ride in an old steamer (one million miles done on Lake Windermere!) from Ambleside, where we were staying, to Bowness-on-Windermere, which is so cute I can’t even!

⭐️- CORE EXERCISE OF THE WEEK -⭐️
🐞 -THE DEAD BUG -🐞
⭐️An excellent exercise to strengthen the core and one of my favourites. ⭐️Lie flat on your back with your arms held out in front of you pointing to the ceiling. Then bring your legs up so your knees are bent at 90-degree angles. This is your starting position, and it’s vital to get your back as flat against the floor as possible. You shouldn’t be able to get a hand in between your back and the floor, and you need to maintain this position.⭐️Slowly lower your right arm and left leg at the same time, exhaling as you go. Keep going until your arm and leg are just above the floor, being careful not to raise your back off the ground. Then slowly return to the starting position and repeat with the opposite limbs. ⭐️We have a specific CORE CONDITIONING class on Thursdays at St Johns Ambulance Building 18:50-19:20. A quick burst of 30 minutes aimed to help strengthen this area.

! ✨ What makes you feel most like you? I think for me it’s stopping to study the curl of a fern, the rays of a sunset, the sound of the rain. A few years ago I was so “busy” and spending so much time online that I was completely disconnected from the world around me. Slowly as I spent more time outside I started taking notice again, which led to some little sketches, which led to watercolors, and then pottery, and even podcasting. It all started with the curl of a fern. 🌿 Over the last few months I’ve started building more time into my days to just be. To walk and to think and to journal. And I’m feeling more myself than I have in years. It is pretty magical. #bloomandgrow
I did a trip out to Windermere to visit Beatrix Potter’s cottage at Hill Top. Beautifully preserved and well worth visiting if you grew up with her little tales.
