In the cut behind the smoke & EY(yyyy) 12 hours after uptown nypd gave me a summons of false charges as I stood in the park talking with my friend who'd recently resigned from her teaching position at the Harlem Cayuga Center. One day in October she had a class full of 41 children who'd been stolen from their parents along the border & the next day, with no notification of any impending changes, she had 10.
The children who'd been brought into NYC under cover of night were removed & allegedly relocated back down south the same way.
The (actual) Cayuga are one of the original five members of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois Confederacy) of this state who Gen. Washington ordered destroyed & displaced & two armed & unidentified strangers told me that I'm expected to skip work to appear in court to pay for being in a park that I already pay for 20 minutes before it was closed & if @whitneymuseum
et al. are so opposed to decolonization then sign your property & collections over to the British & let's call it a day because I gave my only coconut water over to @pennilessvagabond
on Gansevoort Street & this is all way too dehydrating.
P.S. Despite profiting from the gassing of children, among others, Warren Beatty Kanders was a noted guest at the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services ("New York State’s largest human services nonprofit") 2017 Spring Gala at the Plaza. (📷 -Ashoka Jegroo/Hyperallergic)
