I’ve never been really confident about getting that authentic Indian flavour in my curries but this was really really yummy ! Recipe & Method: (serves 4, prep 15 minutes, cooking time 20-30minutes). Heat 2tbsp coconut oil in a large wok. Add one finely chopped onion, along with 2tsp mustard seeds, 2tsp cumin seeds and 1 heaped tbsp of grated ginger. Cook until onions are softened. Add 3 minced garlic cloves. Add 2 heaped tbsp of grated fresh turmeric. Add 3 chopped carrots and half a large head of cauliflower (or 1 small head). Add 1 tbsp turmeric powder and fresh or dried red chilli (I used 1 tbsp of hot red chilli flakes and it was medium spicy). Ensure all veg is coated in spices in the pan. Add 2 cups of water, 1 can of coconut milk and 1 can of chopped tomatoes. Salt & black pepper to taste. Stir well. Cover with a lid and simmer until carrots and cauliflower are tender. Tonight I served it with brown rice, fresh coriander, my quick-pickled-onions (literally slice and soaked in apple cider vinegar and water over night) and popadoms. Day 3. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Psoriasis spots are still present but they’re not as elevated. My skin has already improved so much, it’s already much smoother and less angry looking. We have crazy jet leg so the schedule has been us awake at 5am, in the gym by 5.30, breakfast at 6.30 and then laying around in the room until the sun is in the pool area at about 9am. Then depending on what dental appointments George has we work around that, either a late or early lunch and then back by the pool. Try to stay awake as long as possible but so far 8pm-8.30 has been the latest night we’ve had. All in all the jet lag has worked well for us, it’s motivated us to use the gym and I’m actually enjoying the routine. I’ve been eating only plant based which is so easy here at the hotel, sooo many veg options available and they’ve all been delicious. I haven’t done a lot of tourist stuff yet but it’s only been 3 days. Let me know if you have any suggestions! As promised, a little info on exercise nutrition 🌱 Plants provide the energy, water, nitric oxide, vitamins and minerals to fuel workouts and encourage better strength and power. In line with this, fruits provide quickly usable, easily digestible carbohydrates #preworkout for shorter bursts of energy e.g 30-60 min workouts - while quinoa, brown rice, potatoes and other starches can provide slower, longer-lasting energy for endurance training and events. Working out fasted is fine too, but the jury is still out on whether it optimises fat loss. I teach my clients to tune in to how they prefer to workout, and whether they feel lethargic without anything in their stomachs during their usual routine. If the answer is yes, have a piece of fruit/light fruit smoothie 30-60 mins prior 🍓🥭🍌 If it’s a full balanced meal, best to wait at least 2 hours before training 🍛 That will do for most of us 💫 If you are training for longer than 90 mins, you might start looking at slower-digesting carbs like those listed above 🍚🥔

Week one on protein max for the teen (diagnosed ADHD)... Wow! 😳 Better sleep! More then twice fell asleep before 8pm - usually it’s 11pm/midnight. Out of bed easier in a morning (she is a teenager haha) but generally chipper. Opting to drink water! FIRST TIME EVER!!! 🎉🎉(She has been known to make herself sick if having to have water!) School reported back there’s been more focus in class, more interest in the work she’s been producing 😁 (2 weeks ago she wouldn’t attend class on random days for no reason other then didn’t want to) Just an all round calmer attitude I’ve seen. A friend has stayed with us for a night and said it’s the first time she’s seen in over a year Leah not have a burst out. No shouting, no drama, just seemed calm. Could not of started this at a better time I believe! School bang on about meds all the time (Leah’s been diagnosed with ADHD since aged 6, never medicated much to some people’s annoyance) but this week even they are impressed with the turn around! I know this seems a lot but it’s God’s honest truth! We’ve changed nothing else! Absolutely blown away with what good, quality nutrition can do!! Previously I’ve looked at tofu as something very alternative which has made me rather avoid it. I also didn’t know how to prepare it. Now however, I have started to purchase clean tofu that I would use instead of feta cheese or chicken in a dish. It is so easy to prepare and the taste experience is endless! Squeeze out the water, chop in squares, marinate in good spices such as sesame oil, tamarind, soya sauce and perhaps some curry.
