When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.
4.30 am. The alarm started to ring. We were at Poincenot's campsite (El Chalten). Too early to get up but we needed to make an effort. It was completely dark so we took our headlights and started climbing the mountain. After one kilometre of ascent in a drop of 400 meters we reached to 'Laguna de Los Tres'. The impressive Mount Fitz Roy was in front of us but the best moment was still about to come. We wanted to be there just before the sunrise because we were told that the granite turns orangey with the first sun lights. They were right, getting up early had been super worth it. The view was just breathtaking!
That's the real color, no filter in the mountains behind, just a bit of highlights on the front.
Hey! I'm back! After a while I had finally had the desire to start editing pictures again. Sometimes you just want time to enjoy yourself without a computer between. And that's what had happened for some time. But, now I'm here again!
If you remember my last picture, I showed you a really cool tent built up by the Aussies. A few meters behind, Lachie threw his blowing mattress on the floor and went to sleep. In the meantime, Ana and me set up the tent to sleep warm and cozy.
Have you ever done bivouac before?
