Dancing in the moonlight? More like freezing in the moonlight. I know the eclipse might be old news by now (lord, the speed of the internet...) but did anyone else get a chance to view it? ... @expertpixelpusher
and I braved what may have been the coldest night of the year but we saw the moon, dammit. We bundled up in our all our winter gear and down in the empty courtyard of our apartment building I laid flat on my back and gazed up at that red moon. ... Life moves so fast (thanks again internet!), how often do we stop to marvel at the wonders of life that surround us? I make the effort to look as much as I can and these phenomena provide an excellent excuse to stop what I’m doing and just look.
Laying there, sharing binoculars with my best friend, the wind licked at my exposed face, making my eyes tear and blurring my vision. When I took my mitten off to take this picture, my fingers were numb within a few minutes. It’s not going to land on the cover of #nationalgeographic
but it’s not bad for an iphone photo shot through a lens of my birding binoculars.
