The people who live in a golden age usually go around complaining how yellow everything looks. ~ Randall Jarrell
Title: Seeing a golden age through . . .
Can I get a drum roll, please!?! 🥁
Okay! Here is the first of many (many many) new shots from the photo dump I mentioned yesterday, and can I just say I love the summer vibe this piece is rockin’. So, four posts back I mentioned that I noticed a serious lack of yellow in much of my work. So I’m consciously working yellow into a few more pieces. The yellow in this one comes from two buttercup looking flowers that I shot at #leugardens
last Monday. (Side note for #locals
, Leu Gardens is free on the first Monday of every month.) My lovely model is a mannequin at Macy’s. She was fabulous to work with, really knew how to strike a pose and hold it. Hehehe
Speaking of mannequins, expect to see a lot (LOT!) of those for the next few weeks. With faces, without faces, with hair, without hair, all kinds! I spent over 4.5 hours shooting Thursday at the Mall at Millennium in Orlando. I’d never been there before and that place was a freakin’ gold mine filled with textures and intriguing shots, and I shot every mannequin that the shops would allow. More on that later, but for now, I hope you enjoy this new yellow inspired summer piece, and watch for more coming real soon. Thanks for stopping by and reading my long winded babble. Please, feel free to say hi in the comments. ✌️😺
