What sets your soul on fire? And what do you love to create? 😍 I love to create drawings, cookies & cakes and of course printables. And that definitely works best when I‘m full of joy.☺️💕

I’m so happy that Spring has finally arrived! We spent Monday afternoon picnicking and yesterday in the backyard. That’s the stuff. 👌🏻 pics in my stories 💛
Things that make me giddy: 1. This girl 2. Painting freely 3. When @annaclairecalligraphy
spends the morning with me in the studio 4. All of those things together // Sending this abstract home to Hawaii with Anna Claire but taking the opportunity for a pretty photo with our Willa girl first. #laurawtaylorart
is a dear friend who just recently came into my life, but the kind who feels like she was here all along. This beautiful, bright light is on journey to take her life back mind, body and soul and her authenticity and determination to be the best version of herself are quite simply pure inspiration. Thank you @lindsaymoorephotography
for snapping a shot of your sweet succulent planters on their way to a happy home. If you have Pingala Pot Photos please send them my way, I love to see how you’re enjoying your handmade loving!

These three just hit my shop! And I've discounted a few others 😉 click the link in my profile to find them now.
In other news, I'm headed to Mackinac Island today! 🙆 I'm bringing 12 paintings to @mackinacslittlegallery
for the beginning of the season which starts May 5th!
Just waiting for the paint to dry... after a crazy couple of weeks it feels great to have a paintbrush back in my hand!
Today was filled to the brim with goodness... So grateful to have these simple experiences of life and nature, time with my love, breathing in the warmth and misty sea air. .
I find my paintings are so much more literal when I paint in plein air, I try not to lose the abstraction, but the experience is a welcomed break from my normal process. I also look forward to carrying these paintings and snapshots in my mind home with me to build new works inspired by these same moments. I love how the landscape will shift in memory, taking on a little more ambiguity but without losing the emotion.

It's all in the details 💚
One of the most special projects I’ve worked on. Still developing and about 20 more mini paintings to-go. An idea/exploration with specific timing and wrapped in love.
Feeling about for a bit of sky and sand.
Don't think this is quite finished yet, but will let it 'rest' for a bit. And I'll prop it up against the outside wall for a picture (with all the glorious weeds in the background), because there's nowhere photogenic inside.
today is important because it is the day of birth of the best herbalist/potion master/mother I know. let there be celebration! #doubleexposure #incamera #film
I mentioned in my stories a couple weeks ago that as I enter into my 39th year of life I want to find, and search for if I must, all that I have to be grateful for each day. ✨
I’ve found myself even starting the day as my feet touch the floor thanking the Lord for a brand new day. Even if that is the only thing I can find to be grateful for at the end of the day, I would say that’s more than enough. ✨
Y’all, here’s what I’ve discovered to be true for me. There is so much thrown at us during the day to weigh us down. It can all be so much and keep up from living to our fullest, wanting to stay home and keep away, not pursuing our dreams even. I’m tired of that. Who says that has to be how life is? NO ONE! ✨
As a matter of fact, my God says that He brings joy to the fullest (John 15:11), life to be lived in abundance (John 10:10), and an overflow of blessings (Ps 23:5.) #liveblessed #countyourblessings #keepithonest
Can I get your help... I’ve felt my style & motivation shift so many times in the past few months that I would love some feedback from you.
If you could describe my style or how you feel when you view my artwork... What would you say? Could you take a quick second and use just a couple words to let me know in the comments below. Thank you!
HACIENDA / 8x8 / I grew up dreaming of the day I would live in a beautiful Spanish hacienda with a front courtyard...but I came to the realization in my 20s that buying a hacienda in California wasn’t going to happen (unless I married very wealthy!) I haven’t ruled out moving to México when the kids are out of the house, but until then I’ll just keep dreaming...and finding Airbnb haciendas I can enjoy. ✨ @elledecor #thirtyminutethoughts
This Inner Beauty Portrait came up in my FB mementos today. I created it 2 years ago for a special woman here in Saskatoon. I called it “A Romantics Light “ and if you go read the blog post you’ll understand why. The link is in my bio. If you want to know more about how to commission your own Portrait or as a gift for someone DM me and I can walk you through the process. In a nutshell I came up with the concept after being tired of the emphasis placed on external beauty. We know what we look like on the outside. We know what one another looks like. But what about on the inside? Where our true beauty rests sometimes hidden and drowned out by the clamouring of this world. I wanted to hear people’s stories their inner being and paint what I saw as a reflection of their beautiful inner hearts and struggles and hopes and dreams and stories. Nutshell closed. 😘 I’d love to hear your thoughts! Please share below or DM me. I’m currently taking commissions to begin the end of May.
Getting busy again with several shows coming up this summer. Here's a new one.
My bracelet from @enchantmeknots
came in the other day and I am loving it. There’s a labradorite stone woven in it and I love labradorite because it reminds me of my son’s eyes. So I’ve been buying so much labradorite lately 😂.

Just Barely Touching // When was the last time you touched mulch, the natural kind that covers the forest floor? The kind that softens your footsteps and cradles your weight as you walk? 🌱☀️🏕
When was the last time it touched you?
“Deep conversations with the right people are priceless”~ unknown
How often does that happen for you? I love people. I love hearing their thoughts, I love learning about people. Having honest to goodness conversation’s that matter. Having a conversation that matters or leaves you smiling is worth every minute. Even better is a conversation where you’ve left the other person smiling or feeling better than before you started talking. I felt this little piece was a reflection of two stories meeting and combining, complementing each other even though they may be different. Just some thoughts that I mused over while putting this together.
This original artwork is up for sale (35.00CAD) You can see this piece in person at @cityperkscoffee
until May 7. DM me or comment below if you’d like to find out more or purchase this piece.
