A few #latergrams from last week! #uac2k17 visited @nationalparkservice Museum Resource Center for the National Capital Region! A great tour was given by staff (including @kdbirmingham !), artifacts from @frederickdouglassnps collection were pulled for us to look at, and a special demonstration on identifying lead in glass and using the burn test on unknown plastics was provided! #collectionsmanagement #artifactresearch #science

We have a special guest at the museum today, a researcher with the Smithsonian!  They’ve come all this way to look at this artifact, a wedding costume from the early 1800s.  See more behind the scenes photos and learn more about this piece in our story or on our Snapchat.  This top part of the costume is on display on the 2nd floor, come check it out for yourself! #artifactresearch #wedding #artifact #behindthescenes #nevillepublicmuseum #nevillemuseum #lovegb #greenbaysbest
