As part of the application process for next year's feature training, @shilohsophia
offered a 4 week painting process called INSIGHT (online), and many who attended applied for Color of Woman 2019, others decided "not this time" ...wherever you are on the journey, you're at the right place for you!! If you're feeling angst about whether you "should" or "shouldn't" have applied, or wrestling with something else in your life, take a breath.
Feel into your belly, into your heart. Take another breath.
Sit with the feelings ... And take it to your journal! You can write about what's coming up, play with color, scrunch a page ... What's your process?
I'm sharing a painting I used as a demo in a private session this summer, with a student who wanted to develop a painting she'd begun months before. If I'm stuck with what my painting needs, I often use my editor feature to go grey scale, for a different view of the lights and darks. Sitting back (at least 6' away) with a cup of tea and journal is also helpful - getting some perspective.
What do you especially like about your current painting it creative project? Look closer at some of the details!
If I'm feeling frustrated, I often spend some time playing with an area, developing a dragon, lighting up a wing, ... Then her back to the face. What are some of your favorite tools for engaging your muse? Please share!
