I’ve been going back and forth to Blick’s open stock for the albrect durer watercolor pencils so I can finally secure all 120 them. I know the staff is sick of seeing me and asking when will things be in stock but Im very close to completing my collection 😊😊😊 #ifreakinglovethesepencils
Trying to get the hang of my new albrecht durer watercolour pencils.. Currently in the beginning layers of the background and her shirt. Only the background is watercolour. The front is with my polychromos pencils. I really like the how green is starting to come out.. Green like an eagle, like Philly Eagles.. GO EAGLES! Had to do it since they’re currently playing , winning 🙃 😜#BirdGang
This street art maestro and hero will never be diminished.
I grew with a yearning to understand the world & the things around me on a deeper level - always being intuitive & no matter where life has taken me I follow my heart first. Although it’s brought tears - I choose the hardship along with the passion...because I was once in a place where I pushed my feelings aside - I felt my light become dull & I ignored my intuition because it hurt less.
We are all capable of this survival technique & must be careful because if you choose not to feel the bad shit - you could end up not feeling the f’n amazing moments, (to see the rainbow you have to see the rain).
It wasn’t just time & the mad love I experienced as a mother that helped my mind see the immense beauty life can offer - it was purely but not simply the CHOICE to be happy. The choice and making the effort to stop hating what I couldn’t control.
We all have that choice & are all deserving of happiness. We all have a choice to impact the people around you with the power of influence. We each harness this incredible power.
If you haven’t heard of the mycorrhizal network trees have - it’s a way they communicate and share resources using a underground fungi network (if your new here, kinda obsessed with mushrooms), this allows a forest to behave like a single organism -
basically it sends mycelium all through the soil, picks up nutrients, water, phosphorous & nitrogen - brings it back to the plant, and exchanges those for photosynthate (a sugar made by photosynthesis). The plant is fixing carbon and then trading it for the nutrients that it needs for metabolism. It works out for both.
I could keep talking - but the point I’m trying to make is..they have found that the biggest, oldest trees in the network were the most highly linked. Big old trees = bigger mycorrhizal networks.
These “mother trees” - given that name because they can recognized their lil baby trees - also nurture and care for their babies - sendin nutrients to those that need it.
Evolution is a beautiful design but I feel like this is an example of a bigger design - they naturally have a need to nurture & to give when they can. They work together to survive.
Let’s be mother trees guys 🌲💜
