Отведите плечи раскрывая грудную клетку. Смотрите прямо перед собой, расслабьте глазные мышцы. Отведите плечи от ушей, сведите лопатки вместе. ВНИМАНИЕ Держите голову ровно. Раскройте грудную клетку. Упритесь задней поверхностью ног в пол. Тяните пятки от тела, держа ступни перпендикулярно полу.

Если левая голень располагается на правой, захватите сначала большой палец левой ноги, а затем большой палец правой. И наоборот, если правая голень находиться на левой, захватите сначала большой палец правой стопы. На выдохе поместите голову на правое колено и задержитесь в этом положении. Затем опустите голову на левое колено. Вернитесь в Падмасану.

I love to squat, I find it comfortable and relaxing, and whenever I teach it, I’m very quickly reminded that lots of people don’t like it. It’s yet another great posture to understand that our anatomy is all different and our physical gifts and limitations are all different. Instead of always pushing sometimes just relaxing into a posture like squats is the way to accept what our bodies are giving us. i think that maintaining fulfilling happiness and self-love is a continuous effort. It’s not something that once achieved, all the hard work’s done. Day 3 of #capturesantosha is an asana we dislike and how we can find gratitude in them. Half Moon..... I so badly want to like this asana, because I love the moon, but I so much do not. I find it hard to focus and center. I wobble, I get frustrated, and it makes me want to throw in the towel during my practice sometimes. But today is about gratitude ❤️ If I allow myself to breathe in this asana I fill with gratitude for the wobbles and my body’s instinct to care enough to find center. As I connect to the breath I find gratitude for its power to not only keep me alive but to calm me. Some days it’s easier than others to practice gratitude but as long as we give it our best we’ve done our job. It is not those events, but rather the inner reorientation or self-redefinition that you have to go through in order to incorporate any of those changes into your life. Without a transition, a change is just a rearrangement of the furniture.” - William Bridges - I love practicing new transitions on the mat. It keeps me on the edge of my seat...always creating new neural pathways in my brain, which then resonate through out my body creating growth. It’s not just how we rearrange our bones and muscles into a new shape, but also the subtle nuances- the small shifts in the mind, exhaling deep fear, firing up internal focus, feeling AWAKE & ALIVE that embody the transition! I swear by my constant practice of new transitions on the mat, as it TRULY AND DIRECTLY translates to how I live off the mat as well...when unexpected change pops up suddenly, I’ve been able to accept it and redirect down a new path with more grace and ease. Don’t get me wrong- I’m still human and have my emotional moments, my anger, my heartaches, etc. but they just keep on passing by quicker and quicker!..and I find myself more and more resilient!!. MY GOODNESS!! End of story." - That was my caption on my first ever Lolasana aka Pendulum Pose I ever posted. It took a while but on my best days I can hold it pretty well. All other days I look more like a sack of potatoes 🥔😂 ⠀ This pose is one of the MOST honest poses I know. There is no cheat, not get around. Only naked truth. You can either lift ... or not. I like that as much as I like a good cheat to fake it until I can make it 😜 ⠀ After I realised I don't have sufficient technique to get a proper lift I simply used blocks (bottom pic). In the beginning even this was hard. I started a routine based on a pretty shape I saw on IG (pics on the right). I added that to the block routine. ⠀ Swipe - Ok, there is always the strap but PLEASE READ. You might risk a bloody nose. I am totally serious here, no kidding. In binding your arms the way I did on the third slide you limit your range of motion which you desperately need to catch a potential fall. ⠀ You’ll feel like you're handcuffed if you use a cotton strap. You will inevitably bring yourself to fall IN CASE you lose it. ALWAYS look forward, lay out blankets or pillows for your first tries just so you learn to trust your own abilities. Promised? ⠀ If you have an elastic strap like the one I used it’s a bit less scary. ⠀ * Warm up your wrists like crazy! Notice how far forward my shoulders are * Bind your upper arms shoulder width distance apart * Get both knees in between strap and your chest * press down both hands * pull your navel in and up * knees move towards the chest * lift your feet * strap works as a resistance band ⠀ Do you practice this pose? JOURNEY TO BLISS The Winter Solstice is the longest day of darkness in the year. It is also a day where earth and sun become still with one another before earth begins to move back toward the light. . Join @sonic_yogi and I (@octavianasr ), to celebrate the solstice, holiday season, and arrival of winter through candlelit yoga, live music, chanting, and meditation on November 18th. . Class will start with a powerful Mantra repetition, then move into silence, before setting our intentions. After intention setting we will practice releasing, resting, and letting go through a yin/restorative practice designed for all levels. During practice, we will explore the theme of healing through imagery and poetry related to the Solstice. .
