"Ohh just take a look at this 👀"
I thought this was the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen but I haven’t met tomorrow.
Orange to my left. Pink to my right. I sit in the middle to witness it on my own, two different sunsets at the same time, same place. No other company but a phone to capture this moment so I can share it with you.
Wheel you be friends with me? 👫🎡
first furloughs. now ear infections.
we just can’t seem to win.
so we’re setting our own terms and looking at flights for our next european getaway — this time with baby girl in tow.
we’ve only been back for 2 months, but we’re so ready to be there again and to share our favorite places with her. and to drink all the wine, of course 🍷
T R A V E L VS. V A C A T I O N⠀⠀
Travel for me is about change of environment, new adventures, learning from others, and seeing the world from a different perspective. ⠀⠀
Vacation? That’s usually about drinks on the beach and a whole lot of pool time.⠀⠀
How about you? Are you the type of person who likes to switch from traveler to vacation, or do you stick to one pretty exclusively?⠀⠀
ice ice sauna 😎 the thick walls of this sauna are made of steel ice. pretty cool, right?
Are you ready to try new techniques to capture how it really feels to be somewhere? The buzz of a big city train station... .

What is up with this abominable weather in LA? There is a clear reason I said THANK U NEXT to Seattle’s disgusting nonstop rain. I pay extra taxes to live in summer all year long... give me sunshine, or give me my money back.
I’ve had mushrooms on my mind the whole day today....you know...the ones that you put in soup.⠀
My morning was spent preparing for our class today, during which we featured Eastern European cooking.⠀
During each class we focus on a certain part of the world, and I aim to use seasonal ingredients so we have the freshest foods.⠀
To round out the eastern European part of our curriculum, we made mushroom barley soup in class.⠀
Mushrooms are just about the most polarizing vegetable I can think of.⠀
No one has a wishy-washy feeling about mushrooms… They either don’t like them because of the texture or the smell, or they love the earthiness and the texture.⠀
I have always been in the latter camp.⠀
Imagine for a moment, that you only had access to those fruits and vegetables that were grown locally in any given season… We so are beyond lucky to have access to all the foods that we do.⠀
Whenever I make mushroom barley soup with the kids, I am always transported to the amazing soup I had when we visited the famous Ukrainian restaurant @vaselka
with my uncle.⠀
Check out our latest blogpost about how to make this gorgeous soup with your family! Link in bio!
What's your favorite fruit? Mango is for sure my favorite! I especially love it when its semi hard and not too ripe
This has become my favorite place in Utah. Go to Antelope Island and hike up to the top of the Buffalo Point trail. It’s so calm and beautiful (and freezing) up there.

A view from the Taj // Starting off my 2019 travels in Mumbai with @victoriaramm
has been quite the experience. The city is unlike any other I have visited, and tbh I don’t think any will even come close to comparison
I have felt all the emotions I possibly can in such a short amount of time: laughter, sadness, joy, anger, awe, fear—especially when crossing those menacing streets!
To me, words cannot describe Mumbai and its soul; it must be felt, breathed, touched, tasted.
Beautiful Sunrise to start the day. 🌄

Always remember; if you watch the sun rise, protect your eyes. Pull that brim down. #fulltilt
What a year 2019 is shaping out to be. Beautiful weather, beautiful friends and some beautiful memories 👌
I need to catch more sunrises in 2019.
I think it’s important to reflect not just how society deems our years worthy and goals met, but how we ourselves do.
I traveled to some amazing places in 2018...
+ Sri Lanka
+ Kerala, India
+ Japan (twice)
+ Tennessee (Memphis and Nashville)
+ London + Paris + Provence + Barcelona
+ California coast
+ California wine country
And I loved it all. But what matters most to me goes beyond just where I journeyed last year.
A heartfelt and personal recap of 2018 is now live on the blog.
I invite you to read and reflect and perhaps join me in a bit of hibernation this month.
Would love to hear about your intentions (and travel plans!) for this year 💛

First time on a black sand beach! ✔️🖤 And a brand new one at that! Have you ever been to one? This is a new black sand beach on the Big Island following the volcanic eruption. Hence why the “sand” is not as fine. It’s a mix of pebbles, rocks, and some sand. Careful in the water because each wave that comes crashing in has a slew of lava rock in it. Ya know, unless you like the feeling of rocks crashing into your feet and ankles. But those will get smaller and smooth over time. Regardless, the black sand beach is amazing and I was awestruck but it’s not as romantic as I was hoping. Mainly because you have to drive through the devastation to get there (directions will be on the blog soon because most roads are closed). 🌋But I do know that something beautiful can come from the destruction. ⬅️Swipe left to see the before and after photos I found online to give you more perspective.
Down in southern Louisiana you might hear someone call you cher or sha. This term of endearment is Cajun in origin and likely stems from the French mon chérie (my dear.) So don’t worry sha, go on down da bayou to @jeanlafitteswamptour
and see them good ol’ Cajun boys. | 📸: @mc0rrea

Today is my last day of work till 2019 👏👏👏 the past 9 months has been a big adjustment!
From moving cities, starting NETP at Base hospital, having a hiatus from photography and exploring new parts of NZ. Thankyou to friends and family that have been so supportive throughout everything. Here’s to 2018 and the year to come!

When it rains it pours. Currently stuck in Hamilton until my car is fixed in the morning. Missed out on catching up with some sweet friends and shooting one of the best couples I know. I’ll catch ya soon @nicolafroud
Looking forward to leopard prints and feeling like a woman 😏
I’ve wanted to visit this place for just over a year. However, it’s literally in the middle of no where. After a 15 minutes drive down a dirt road thanks to a corflute sign with painted directions, I was met with a security guard. I was immediately disheartened as I thought I wouldn’t be able to get in. He exclaimed that there was two people setting up a film and to not get any shots of the scenes. After the sun set the guard walked with me back to my car, so naturally I asked about the film... turns out they were about to shoot Mulan here 😂 and the day I visited was the last day the cliffs were open to the public for two weeks. So if you wondered where some of the scenes of Mulan are shot... #Howstunningisthatsunsetthough
A few months ago I visited the South Island for the first time. I had a layover in Christchurch and was pretty gutted I couldn’t go out and explore. Last week I spent a day and a bit in Christchurch and what a treat it was! The city architecture is so interesting. The devastation from the quake 7 years ago is still evident when walking around the centre, however, Christchurch hands down has the coolest vibes and funky shops to see. A tram touring the main city centre, art pieces throughout the city, pastal lanes and courtyard pop up food stalls. Let alone being able to see glimpses of Mt Hutt and the ranges on the drive to Queenstown. Thanks @cececox_
and your flatties for being so lovely and accommodating! So appreciate you!! ❤️❤️
