25-60min a day (In this picture I had just finished a 37 min MMA styled power workout and burned 409 calories)
All at home, in my garage, kids were sleeping and hubby was getting ready for work!

You will never truly be content with your body if you don’t have joy within. .
I’m so glad I worked on my mindset before getting in the best shape of my life. Because now, after having a baby, my body isn’t quite the same as it used to be (and might not ever be 🤷🏻♀️) I have extra skin on my stomach, my belly button has seen better days (pregnancy was hard on it 😂) I lost a ton of muscle, and I get winded doing what I used to consider an “easy workout.” .
But all of that is OK. .
This healthy journey I’m on is just that- a journey. It’s something I’ll work toward my whole life. It’s about being the best that I can be and being content with that... not comparing myself to the “perfection” on instagram (which is fake by the way 🙄). .
My focus is to be strong and healthy, and whatever comes along with that in looks is just an added bonus 😉🙌🏼💕.

The Georgia heat gave way to an overcast sky and a nice summer’s breeze today which made this Mama-to-be super happy! So my littlest girlfriend (for now 💗) and I went for a walk! I was on a mission to burn off some of that pizza I ate yesterday and bring baby girl on down & Robin was on a mission to make sure I accomplished neither with lots of stops to talk about bugs, fix her shoes, take a sip of water, ask when we would be back home, kiss my belly, etc. 🙈.

In case you missed my workout from my insta story yesterday, here it is! The kettlebell swing I did them for cardio. 20 mins: 40 seconds work and 20 second rest, repeat for time. The rest was 4 sets of 12 reps for each exercise. It was a killer! You can always use a dumbbell instead of the kettlebell, and bands instead of dumbbells. For more resistance on the bands simply double them. All that work in less than an hour! I know you can find that hour to work on yourself 😉
Since having my son Everett I've had several people ask about the Core Rehab Program I've been practicing at home. I've suffered from from pelvic floor dysfunction, back pain, and diastasis recti since having my daughter 3.5 years ago and this at-home program has helped me heal. There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs.' 🙌🏻 And sometimes you take your babe with you 💕. This goes for our health journey, our relationship, our careers..... ok everything! The day you stop looking for the quick fix and the easy way is likely the day you'll start making the progress it takes to get where you want to go. I couldn’t do a lot of these moves this well in January, and six months later, it feels so good to be strong. .
It's the small wins. The daily choices. The consistent effort. Every step that leads to the top. .

"A different transformation 👏🏽 some days we eat two slices of pizza and chocolate cake with a starbucks java chip drink. And others we drink green smoothies and lemon water. “There is nothing special about me”
I’ve never liked to be the centre of attention so it’s easier for me to say “I’m just ordinary” and “there is nothing special about me”! Even as I write this now, it’s uncomfortable for me to say I’m anything but that!
I’m a 43 year old Mom who struggles with everyday life. I drink wine, I stress, and I’ve got insecurities.... BUT... I am NOT ordinary.
And neither are you.😘

When I met my now husband I was at my heaviest non-pregnant weight of my life. Sam worked out religiously and was somewhat of a "meathead" at that time.
Sam always treated me well, but I found myself constantly overcompensating and projecting my internal insecurities onto our relationship.
I would be over the top about making myself into the "perfect girlfriend". I found myelf doing every single thing I could to convince him that I was worthy of his love regardless of how I looked. I was also constantly in a state of jealous insecurity.
None of these feelings were a result of ANYTHING he did or how he treated me. These feelings were a direct result of not having any clue what self-love meant.
When I met Sam's family for the first time I remember dreading every moment leading up to it thinking, "these people are going to wonder what is HE doing with HER?!". It was horrible. This was ALL in my head. His family has never treated me with anything but love and acceptance, but I didn't accept myself. I was ashamed of how I looked on the outside. It certainly didn't match how I felt on the inside.
That's when my journey began to lose weight. But I was doing it the wrong way and for all the wrong reasons. I was prescribing to the adage that to lose weight you have to exercise more and eat less...disaster. Do not try this at home. I was weak, hangry, moody and miserable.
AND I was doing this because I wanted acceptance from everyone around me. Because I was approaching weight loss the wrong way and for the wrong reasons I never fully made it to my goal.
Please don't do this to yourself. Start by loving yourself NOW. Regardless of your size or past experiences. YOU ARE WORTHY OF LOVE NOW. A size or a weight does not define you. .
If you want to lose weight, great. I can help you do that - no problem. But come to me because you love yourself and you are doing this for YOU. Doing it for anyone else will not be enough. It will not be enough to get you through the hard days in the gym. You have to be showing up for you and you alone FIRST.

If you’re like me, sometimes you just need those tasty morsels for your own sanity! When you see that fresh baked goody you just can’t say no! Well this was a fun one 😄 going to be working on locking my foot behind my knee before rolling up and and then leaning back more at the top, but so far this is my fav!
It made more sense when the instructor said to imagine putting someone in a headlock between your legs 🙌 #dontmesswithmebro
