“Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”
I have found this quote to be so true over and over again as I’ve been in college. Personally, I’ve always felt like I’ve had to go the extra mile. Whether that be in terms of studying, or really just as a student in general. I’ve never felt like I was truly naturally smart, it’s something I’ve always had to work hard on. But ya know what? That’s okay. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. What somebody severely struggles might come like second nature to you, and vice versa.
I just wanted to share this post tonight to encourage and tell anyone out there who might need to hear this — you CAN do it. The only thing stopping you is yourself. If you want it bad enough, do whatever it takes. Go the extra mile. Wake up early to study or get a workout in. Whatever it is that you’re trying to accomplish, you’re perfectly capable of doing it. It won’t be easy, but I can guarantee you it’ll 100% be worth it. So don’t ever give up. 💪🏼
TRUE CONVERSATION. ALL. THE. TIME. I have met so many Nigerians since i moved here 5 years ago...naturally, due to my line of business. But i get asked this question at least once a week by Nigerians moving to Seattle and even those that have lived here for years. Nigerians are not quiet or obscure; never have been. We are always a community. So, it is time to meet other Nigerians and build on your support system. This will be a FREE event. It is not an ASSOCIATION. No membership required. It will be simple...stop by and hang out with fellow Nigerians and connect. Who is interested in doing this? Please drop a comment and tag a friend. I need to know that y'all are interested before committing to this. Also, if you know of an association for Nigerians, i will be happy to pass it on. One love my people! ❤❤❤

Why bother doing it if your intentions don’t align.
The country in the middle of campus.
Tip 67: Get a photobooth with us for your next holiday shindig! Why? Because life is too short to have boring parties. Gather. Laugh. Repeat.
I didn’t realise how many freckles I actually had 🤷🏼♀️ I thought I might post a picture of my face today instead of my gym stuff
I have to say that my Clairol home color is pretty accurate to the box 😊
Berries! I can almost taste them already. 🌱
How’d you spend your Sunday?
We decided to tackle an 8 mile hike! ✔️
This trail is only 45 minutes from Sacramento and a must-visit!
A strenuous hike, but doable. Down to the creek is easy, it’s getting back up (incline most of the way). Take plenty of water and enjoy 💛

Find your tribe & love them hard 💕
These are some of my favorite people that make life a little bit easier! I was nervous about moving to a new city (again) and not being able to see these guys as much as I did during school. .
Moving to a new place and leaving my friends & family behind is the hardest thing I’ve had to do (twice now) and I’ve learned that I need to give myself time to adjust with each move. Rather than dwell in it, I’ve chosen to focus more on appreciating the time I do get to spend with long distance friends & family, cherishing each and every moment I get with them, & reminding myself that the people who are meant to stay in my life will.
Life is hard, but it’s so important to surround yourself with people who lift you up! Take a second to think about who those people are for you and let them know how much you appreciate them 🤗
My brother in law’s amazing attempted kick. 😂😂 @derekdill
