The fitness industry is often one of extremes. Something is either good, or bad. Right, or wrong.
In regards to stress and many other of the bodies responses the answer is often much more grey. It depends.
The bodies stress response for example is often very important to have in times of danger, it is only when stress is constant and not controlled that it can become problematic.
Many people will tell you the goal is to “get cortisol as low as possible” to mitigate the impact of stress. What many don’t realise is that low cortisol is often just as bad, if not worse. Again it comes down to managing what is manageable and avoiding what is avoidable.
1️⃣You control what goes in your mouth: If you are going to go through the hassle of meal prepping your food then you may get used to weighing your food and tracking your calories. It will become a habit over time and you will see a huge difference in your results if you are consuming the exact right amount of calories for your goals! Plus if your food is already weighed out and prepared, you wont want to give into cravings when you get them! .
2️⃣You will save money: Healthy eating doesn't have to be expensive. Especially when you are weighing and preparing your food in advance. You will only use as much food as your daily calorie intake allows which means two things: You save money and you lose weight! So it's a win win. .
3️⃣You won't give in to cravings: When you're not prepared, you end up eating convenient, unhealthy food. It's normal, we have all been there. You're extremely hungry, you have had a long day so you opt for a sandwich or wrap. It's not the worst for you but it's not the best if you are trying to lose weight. If you are prepared, this won't happen. .
4️⃣You will get the results you want: If your meals are prepared, weighed to your calorie goals and you are training enough, you will get the results you want. It takes some time and effort but remember, nothing worth having comes easy! #FitGuru

It’s very easy to get confused about fat loss these days as there is much information being thrown in your face constantly, plus product marketing doesn’t help either! It’s simple: .
1️⃣ Get Active: This can be anything from walking, running, cycling, swimming, weight training, martial arts etc .. just get moving! At least 3-4 times a week for 45mins + 🏃♀️ 🏊♀️ .
2️⃣ Track your nutrition: You need to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight/body fat. This means you need to eat less calories than your burn. Use @myfitnesspal
to find out your daily calorie intake for your goals and start tracking your calories! 🍗 🥩 🥦 .
3️⃣Be Patient: This is one of the hardest things when it comes to fat loss. You need to be patient and consistent. You wont see changes in 2-3 weeks but keep going. Within 6-12 weeks you will see a big difference that will motivate you to turn it into a lifestyle. ⏱⏳#FitGuru
