Getting back into painting... here’s something I did on the weekend
Found some good flow in the studio today. When your head and brush connect with ease, there seriously is no better feeling (apologies for the wank, but it’s true 💁🏻🙈). Can’t wait to put the finishing details on this one ✨ bring on the gold leaf!! ✨ #wip #detail #closeup
Thank you everyone who came in to see “All of the Above”! Last of the artist features, one of our studio residents: Yossi Sebban.
Pictured are Yossi’s work “9 Commandments” is a reinterpretation of the traditional 10, excepting the law forbidding depiction or idolatry. They are blasted into blue pearl granite in Hebrew, and highlighted in chrome. Last pictured is a new work, being documented over the coming days. Stay tuned for updates and info about our next opening!
Got some big paintings on the go in the studio at the moment, feel a bit like a pig 🐖 in 💩...so to speak.

: Tim Riley Walsh interviews Dale Harding for A+a Online—‘When speaking or writing about my work publicly—it comes back to getting the story right. That can be applied in many ways. The story of preparing ochre. The story of applying ochre. And then the story of why you did it. I’ve found my work and my personal life have benefitted from consciousness in languages—visual languages, unspoken languages, academic languages, colloquial languages, Murri-way, Migaloo-way. There are multiple languages that I can inhabit to tell a story.’ ⠀
See the span of Harding's practice in his first survey exhibition at the IMA, February 2019.⠀

Shedded skin, bliss within,
cast aside by mans desire,
she gives herself to Devine Mother,
amongst banksia and flannel flower.
Her sacred garden, by serpents side,
open and surrendered, nothing to hide,
healed by Mother’s golden touch,
who’s eternal rays glow bottle brush,
earth crackles as she nestles in the grass,
peace and presence are hers at last .

“Mystery” an artwork by myself | 16.5x11.7in
I created this artwork to reflect the mystery and uncertainty one feels when they are experiencing trauma. The artwork is filled with a lot of negative space and the subject appears fathomless #geelongart #geelongartist #australianart
