By far one of our favourite experiences in the Kimberley is the spectacle of the Mitchell Falls. Getting there is half the adventure. You can drive up the Kalumburu road (self-drive or with a tour), or fly into Mitchell River National Park from Kununurra (turbo prop plane). The walk to the falls from the car park is nothing short of spectacular. You pass ancient aboriginal rock art sites, other amazing waterfalls, and simply stunning landscapes. The grand finale is the four-tiered Mitchell Falls. Aboriginal legend has it that the Rainbow Serpent travelled this land carving the landscape into spectacles like the falls and the result is simply mind blowing 😮 Top off the experience by taking a chopper back to the car park, the birds eye view over the falls will take your breath away 💦
If you have any questions about the Mitchell Falls experience, feel free to ask us!

That feeling when you find the most beautiful waterhole in Kununurra. 😍🙏 📸 @lifeofme

😘Live Summer, Love Cocopani! 🏖🌴☀️
Mardumirdi (flat bread) is what my people call damper. Damper has been made for generations using spinifex seeds, wattle seeds and other grass seeds.
The oldest known grinding stones that have been found in this area are around 40,000 years old, which makes my people some of the oldest bread makers in the world!
beautiful Jan edition is out with a feature on WA’s Dampier Peninsula and @kooljaman
with everything to see and do in the area. Look out for Pilot Josh from our Broome base in their story. 😎
When your day involves chilling out behind a waterfall with these views....it’s a pretty good day indeed!
Need to spend more time in the water before summer is over.
Nothing quite like a Kimberley sunrise ☀️
Mirima National Park, also commonly known as Hidden Valley National Park, looks truly incredible. 😍 📸 @kimberleyretreat
As Broomies (yep that’s what us Broome folks refer to ourselves as 🤦♀️)we love to see the changing colours of the Cable Beach sunsets throughout the seasons. Sometimes the sky is gold, sometimes a pinky red and yes, sometimes even purple 😮 And the sunsets look even better when you have a cold beverage 🍹 in your hand and a few nibblies 🧀 to munch on. We've been taking a much-needed rest from work and technology - but the new year is definitely inspiring us to think about some of our favourite destinations and places we would love to show you more of!
So we are going to concentrate on some of our favourite places and share with you some of the remarkable things to see and do there. If there are any places you would love us to include, and we have been there, let us know!
Beginning with one of our all-time icons... The Kimberley. Words just aren't enough for this magical region and we dream of returning there year after year. We have been a few times and each visit was just as astounding as the other.
Bell Gorge is one of the many gorges off the Gibb River Road. If you drive or tour the road, it is a popular place to stop. You do a pretty easy walk into the gorge and find yourself at the top of a stunning waterfall, which you can climb down into and take a dip in the natural swimming hole beneath it. Getting into the water is a challenge in itself - the rock is a little slippery - but don't plan on impressing anyone and you will be fine! .
Definitely try and spend some time here. Half a day is ideal in order to enjoy the walk, sit and ponder the landscape, and of course, have a swim.

Roebuck Bay floor @ Low tide.
These are razor clams and they are absolutely delicious. Most people don't realise that they're edible and leave them alone but not me.
In terms of taste it's a mix between a scallop and a prawn and can be cooked any way you prefer but I like it on the coals or bbq.
There are many foods to enjoy in the Pilbara if you have the knowledge and know when and where to look!
First time at the beach 🏝
One of our more popular episodes has been the Karijini/Millstream special.

Had a day off yesterday to explore another part of Karijini National Park 🙌🏼
Look 👀at that build up☁️We were all going a bit troppo 🤪 until the rain 🌨came down this week! It has been a windy 💨 the past few weeks and with Broome’s red dirt that meant our cars were looking a tad dusty. Okay a lot dusty😆You know that feeling when you want to clean your car but you think it will rain 💦 so you put it off and it doesn’t rain and the cycle continues? Or maybe that is just us in the Kimberley😂You betcha as soon as that first drop of glorious rain💧 began to fall we pulled our cars 🚘 out from undercover and they had a 💧Waterwise💧car wash🤣 #broometime #australiasnorthwest #amazingkimberley #seeaustralia #justanotherdayinwa
Storms and sunsets - two things Broome does well 👌 It's incredible heading down the beach of an evening to watch nature put on this kind of show.
