Monday's are dreaded for many but for myself it's one of my favorite days. Starting and ending the day with teaching. It's when I feel the most free. It's also a day I reflect on goals that I have set, how far I have come and how far I still have to go. It always brings me back to balance. The effort I put in and what I receive in return. And effort is trying. It take time, courage and strength.
Within that effort we don't always get what we want or as fast as we want it, which usually causes us more stress, more disharmony and unsteadiness in the body and mind. To find that steadiness amongst our trying, it's important to bring more awareness within. The more awareness we cultivate in our inner world, the better we are able to understand patience and compassion around our desires and goals. Goals are more reachable when we detach ourselves from the out come and be in flow with the moment. Inner peace is maintained when we're open to all outcomes.

"Thus it is abundantly clear that there is only one I AM and you are that I AM. And while I AM is infinite, you, by your concept of yourself, are displaying only a limited aspect of the infinite I AM." - Neville Goddard (Power of Awareness)

We often don’t realize how toxic people are until we free ourselves from their grasp. Sometimes letting go is easier than struggling to hold on.
We all have dreams, goals, and a rough picture of what we expect our lives to be like; we can’t let anyone or anything hold us back from these visions.
However, cutting ties with people is easier said than done. I think we fear being alone, adapting to life without them, or simply wonder how we’ll make it any further. We need to stop relying on the bad people to help us, after all, too much rain can slowly destroy a flower.
Realizing your worth is the beauty of it all. You have the ability to make it a lot further without the anchor weighing you down. You deserve to make your dreams come true, and sometimes that means we can’t take everyone with us on the way there. The missing pieces are only temporary, one day the puzzle will feel complete.
So, stop filling the empty spaces with people who give you optional support, and start realizing what you deserve. 🌿

Not all fear is equal. Fear is not bad. It can hold us back, but it can also protect us. In any circumstance our relationship to our inner experience is often the key factor. Fear can propel us forward or it can protect us from bad choices...what we have to do is develop a healthy relationship to it and learn how to distinguish one from the other. Our bodies, most often, already know the answer. Breathe in, tune in to the signals in your body, listen to the subtleties, trust your wisdom. Brave on.
Add a little pep to your step with a cold-pressed bevy from @rawpressco. 😛⚡️

Chris Nowinski, Ph.D., our co-founder and CEO, gave a TED Talk about how his journey from Harvard football player to WWE wrestler led him to discover the lack of information and awareness about concussions and CTE in sports. The discovery inspired Nowinski to co-found the Concussion Legacy Foundation and to ask for brain donations to advance concussion and CTE research ever since. Watch Nowinski’s TED Talk to learn about our work at the link in our bio.
NEW BONUS BONUS EPISODE! Maria sat down with me to give me The Proust Questionnaire. Answering these questions is said to reveal one’s “true nature.” Get ready. (Link in bio). / 📷 @msosaphotography at @lightlab.
