One of my most favorite and life changing trips was this trip to Kenya, Africa.
I watched a lot of @natgeo
prior to this trip and I’ve watched even more since. Visiting the Masai Mara and seeing wild animals in their natural habitat was probably one of the most incredible things I’ve ever done.
Everything that I saw looked just like it does on National Geographic but it’s so enriching to be there, up close and personal yourself, with your own perspective. The land was so beautiful, serene and magical. I can’t wait until Avery is older so that he can go on trips like this.
The next safari trip that I want to take is to see the mass migration. This is when thousands of animals make the cross between grasslands. It’s probably one of the most amazing things you can see.
When I designed Avery’s nursery, I tried to preserve the magic of the Masai Mara in his space. I think I achieved what I set out to do and can’t wait to see how his room transforms over his lifetime. But for now, he’s got the spirit of the Masai Warriors surrounding him.
What is the theme of your little ones nursery and how did you decide it? If you’re still deciding, let’s all talk about it and help each other come up with ideas.
