Well we’re back in sunny England... (sarcasm). But it’s good to be home again! 👌
Chris and Polly’s wedding was fantastic to photograph - with most of the celebrations taking place on Polly’s parents’ back garden. Hence a complete hive of activity during the preparations. Polly and her bridesmaids were tucked away upstairs in relative calm. Meanwhile, guests were camping in bell tents, getting ready in the (posh!) portaloo, shaving in wing mirrors, walking back and forth to get scrubbed up. It was such a brilliant part of the day to photograph, with so much busy-ness everywhere I looked.
Helen and Paul’s glorious tipi wedding is newly up on my website. Reminding us all that it wasn’t always this cold... Helen wore a bespoke dress that combined her favourite bits of Honeysuckle and Wild Lupin, plus a gorgeous lace edged veil. Image by @sianmercer
I love it when there is so much freedom to move around in parts of the day like the speeches. It means I can get close reaction shots like this one ☝️
What a pair 🙌🏻 Visiting from New Zealand but can’t wait to see you both again in the summer for the big day 🎉
Bright rooms make a whole lot of difference 🙌

The transformation from daytime into nighttime can make or break the decor of an event. It's important to have two different designs in place to make sure the place looks amazing whether it is day or night! We like to experiment with interesting lighting...there's more out there than fairy lights !!! (But, don't get me wrong, you can never have too many fairy lights) ☄🌞🌙💡🕯
Gold twigs, lights and candles suspended from the marquee ceiling - I didn't envy the usher who was assigned the job of lighting all the candles! NB: foraging for dead twigs in the height of summer is NOT an easy task.... #tinydetails
'Find your name tag and peg on a Polaroid. ' By doing this we made sure we have a Polaroid picture of every single guest that was at our wedding - it was the best part of the following day to sit and go through them all!
Weddings that have dogs...yes please! This fabulous wedding reception was at the family home, so this little chap was happy meeting and greeting guests on the lawn for cuddles.
These guys and their highlight video will be coming to the blog in the new year. Their wedding was riot of amazing colours, blooms and some pretty good boogying on the dance floor. The is them sneaking a quick smooch mid golf cart ride. As you do.

Our garden at home the morning of the wedding 💐 It poured down hard until 20 minutes before I walked out! It took months of hard graft to get it looking so beautiful & the help of pretty much all neighbours, family & friends. Thanks @julieblaircalvert
for sending @fiddlercodown61
