🌀🌎 I’m having a surreal moment. So I figured I would post this surreal photo that I’ve been hanging onto. This is a snapshot from Sumidero Canyon in Chiapas, Mexico.
I cannot get my head around the fact that I’ve been traveling for 9.5 months or that I’ve made it to Peru. My goal when I left was to be on the road through the summer. I hoped to make it six months. I dreamt of making it to South America. I told myself not to set any strong expectations. — Look at me now! I cannot believe how far I have come.
Yesterday, on my walk to work, I started lightly considering my plans for the Holidays. Like... the Holidays that happen at THE END of a year... a year which I’ve traveled non-stop. Where will I be? Where do I want to be? Honestly I still don’t know the answer to that, but the fact that’s is even something that gets to cross my mind at this point is something I’ll be forever grateful for.
I woke up (late) in my own place today and laid in bed till it was absolutely time for me to get out. I got some mango juice. I did my grocery shopping and now I’m headed back to my bed. This whole new routine is also surreal, but those are words for another time.

Have you ever lived a slow life?
Where suddenly you’ve a lot of time in your hands.
Sounds a little funny, I know.
To breathe. To watch. To live.
You now get to read the morning newspaper every day
Your pet dog is happy; he is roaming around you with lots of love
The scenes outside your window begin to change
Mountains looks like more brighter and lightened with different colours
The roads are busier, the people look sadder; the sparrows seem to disappear
Dust is beginning to settle on the wings of the ceiling fan, the plant next to the balcony has its leaves turning yellow
The clouds have accumulated to look like a big faced hairy man blowing smoke from his pipe
An orange might fall off the tree
The tea is burning itself to give us warm pleasure for a while
There is a girl on the Mountain
She looks happy
So darling, I must say
To lead a slow life
In the world of 6 o’ clock alarms and twelve hour shifts
You should try
You should try once to count the cloud buds over the hills !
Try once to count the oranges off that tree
Here's to the photographs that sometimes make us see what we tend to miss💚
I'll never have enough of you, Munnar!! ❤
Out of all the things, you taught me how to live life, simple and kind
that little curious friend!

After six days of hiking we went back to the city of Huaraz. We were so happy about the most basic things like taking a shower (oh yes, what a feeling after six days 🧖♀️🧖♂️) or sleeping in a warm and comfortable bed (after camping for a whole week in high altitudes with freezing temperatures ⛺️❄️). After relaxing one day we set out for our next adventure: four days of mountaineering. The plan: to climb „Nevado Pisco“ (5752m). What an extreme experience 🏔
I think it is safe to say that we pushed our body to the limit. The weather conditions were harsh and the high altitude made breathing difficult - every single step was so exhausting. But we eventually made it 🙌 Despite the poor sight we were so grateful that we made it to the top. Definitely an experience we will never forget! (Picture from the way down)

GRACIAS A NUESTRA FAMILIA RUMANA DE @dordebucovina
GRACIAS A TODOS DE CORAZÓN.

Let the mystery take over. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ . On the road ~Greece ~ Stop: Egina. Easily reached from Piraeus (Athens’ harbour). When looking for a peaceful, relaxing day out of the city Egina is a great option. It has an enormous amount of delicious sea food restaurants and offers a maze of narrow colourful streets, ideal for an afternoon of getting lost on an understated Greek island. Before or after, you can take some sun at one of the beaches or visit the temple of Afea.
Today is another day! Yesterday is gone but not its memories. There were so many things we expected yesterday which did not happen and what we least expected happened instead. Some are still expecting something. Expectation is a pillar of life. We all do have our expectations for today. Though we may or we may not be able to tell with certainty how our expectations would materialize. We ought to take life easy. Well, it may not be so easy to take it easy but, take it easy! Stay focused and entrust your trust in God. After all what you least expects can happen; serendipity can visit you and stay with you forever at a twinkle of an eye. The coin of life can however turn within a moment of time and your expectations can become a big had I know and a night mare; the vicissitudes of life can rob you at any moment of time. No one knows what the next second really holds. What matters in life is to do what matter; plant the seed of life God has entrusted in your hands and dare to ensure its abundant fruitfulness. The very problem in life is living to neglect the very reasons why you are living because of the problems you may face in living why you must live. When you trade why you must live for why you must not live, you are ruled by what you know but you do not know how it is ruling you. Once we have life, let us live for life all about living and living life is life!

May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. (Edward Abbey) Photo by outdoor ambassador @brownkids

For what it’s worth: it’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over.
