Once again, I am in AWE of this program! Due to wedding, honeymoon, work trip, hectic February- my body was begging me for a cleanse! I am physically changing my bodies chemistry and making myself healthier from the inside out! How cool is that?! The more you research, the more you will see the value in eating an alkaline-forming diet. *Studies are showing that disease cannot survive in an alkaline environment.* There are several informative documentaries that have come out over the past couple of years that have been instrumental in reminding me why I take so much time to carefully choose and prepare what I eat. When you are deeply responsible for your total well-being it is quite a commitment to stick with it- but for me, it’s the only way! There are many excuses we can come up with to give up on the Alkaline Lifestyle (stress, time, money, lack of creativity in food prepping, etc) I find that watching educational documentaries on nutrition and optimal health practices keeps me right on track.

For me personally, this lifestyle has helped keep away pesky viruses that like to compromise my health. Through this program, our daily habits are key to helping get rid of the acidity in our bodies and eliminating those things that don't serve us.

So EXCITED for this week! It’s the first week back at school from spring break so in the past I’d be pretty bummed out, but i have my challenge group starting this week, big plans for my business, ready to crush it in my classes, & honestly I’m just kind of feeling like a boss☺️👊🏼
If there’s anything I’ve learned in the past couple of weeks, it’s the power of manifestation ✨ I can do ANYTHING I set out to do... really anything. I have all of this potential inside me, & for the first time in my life I feel like I am accessing all of that— it’s an amazing feeling, & I couldn’t be more grateful ♥️

If you're feeling a need to break away from the mainstream today, know that you're not alone.
There is an energy hitting us right now that begs us to separate from the norm and spend some time on one's own for a while. Depending on how big of a break you need, tells you how much you're ready to shift within yourself.
So you may simply want to spend the night in by yourself, order take-out and snuggle up with your favorite book.
Or you may need to fully walk away from a relationship that has just been out of balance for far too long.
Either way, do what you need to do in order to get the reflection time you need. Honor what your gut is telling you. Listen to the wounds that are asking to be healed and the pain that is ready to be let go. You are worth it. Thank God you know this now.
Our first run 🏃♀️ 🏃🏽 together after two years. He said we’d go easy and maybe 3ish miles as I just started training. Well over 4 miles later and a face plant in the mud. But it’s spring! Also those shoes were white. Thanks Will.

"I have never been able to do that pose in the past. I am tired, and I am not even going to try," I said to myself. Then the stubborn part of me, the part that hates to give up compelled me to get up and do it anyway. I started with the block under my back leg and could do that. Then I decided I would try without it, and it just clicked.
It reminded me of life. I can't tell you how many times I have just wanted to give up, and how weak and tired I have felt or how many times I haven't even felt like trying. However, I can tell you I have survived everyday so far, and new skills keep on clicking all the time with hard work, effort, and rest when I need it. They do for you too! -
Why do I love yoga so much? Well for many reasons... but today mainly because it teaches me about life and gives me courage all the time to keep going. You never know, unless you try. When was a time you felt like giving up, but continued anyway? #staystrong#splitlegarmbalance
For most people, the best thing they can do to change up their routine to make it more friendly on their joints, is adding strengthening exercises that are focused on unilateral loading.
Some of my favorite:
1️⃣Single Leg Deadlifts
2️⃣Slow Step Downs off a box
3️⃣Rear foot elevated split squats
4️⃣Suitcase Carries (weight I’m one hand only)
5️⃣Kettlebell Floor Presses
By adding these exercises you’ll be constantly training the obliques to function better and you’ll begin to notice and clean up asymmetries in mobility or balance.
Clearly this isn’t the answer for everything, but it’s such an easy adjustment to make and it’ll really pay off when it comes to lifting longevity!
