It helps with holding balancing postures, helps prevent back pain, and most of all, helps a ton with inversions & arm balances!
When I started practicing yoga, I thought I would need all the arm muscles in the world to be able to hold anything but crow pose! But it turns out.. that’s just not true. A lot of balancing stems from .. well firstly your mind .. and secondly YOUR CORE! When we feel centred in life and our practice, the mind is able to quiet itself or produce thoughts that lead us confidently into an arm balance without even expecting it! So don’t give up on your core work just because it’s hard!!! Keep it in your weekly schedule, even if it’s just 5 minutes a week. Set that 5 minute timer & commit yourself to strengthening your core! This isn’t just for you yogis, it’s for YOU who sits at a desk all day, comes home to sit to eat dinner, then curls up into bed to sit & watch Netflix.. get off your 🍑! Do your 5 minute core workout... even if it’s in bed watching Netflix!
