(Long post alert 🚨 )
Before I left for Bali i worked 32 days straight; between teaching classes, private clients and bartending I was tapped out. I was stressed and it was showing through physically and emotionally. I wasn’t nourishing myself the right way, just going for what was convenient and I was drinking more than I’d like to admit. I’m naturally a hard worker but I had gotten to a place where I rarely took time for myself and was running completely on fumes.
gave me 3 glorious weeks to slow down, breathe and appreciate the little things. I meditated, yoga’d and chanted (so fulfilling) my little heart out. I practiced tons of Ashtanga and traditional Hatha and stepped outside my comfort zone. I ate light foods, drank refreshing juices and walked nearly 5 miles a day on top of it all. I was in heaven and feeling healthier and happier than I have in months.
Stepping away allowed me to come back to what’s important; my practice, my health and my soul. We all get caught up, the challenge is allowing yourself to #realign
