“We are all earth people on a spiritual journey to the stars. Our quest, our earth walk, is to look within, to know who we are, to see that we are connected to all things, and that there is no separation, only in the mind." 💫 #jungleYogaBali @heavenlynnhealthy
This asana, floating Lotus Pose (aka Tolasana) represents strength, because it calls on the engagement of the full body.
Before trying to attending it you need to have a good lotus pose. If you can’t begin in a cross-legged position. If Padmasana is accessible for you, find that expression, but you can also play with another cross legged position.
If is difficult to lift yourself up, place your hands on blocks and press downward into them to straighten your arms. As you do, allow the breath to move around the heart and create space between your neck and shoulders.
The lift comes from the core, so if you find your shoulders hunching, come back down, relax them, and come up again, keeping that sense of ease in the upper body. If you are in easy cross legged, you may want or need to leave the bottom leg on the ground. If you find the pose easy with blocks, experiment with removing the blocks and trying it with the hands on the ground.
Play with it!

One of many blissful days spent hanging out at our favourite spot on Gili Meno @karmabeachclubs
and digesting the wisdom of Mark Whitwell’s Yoga of Heart, which this week I am lucky enough to receive in person. 🙏🏽💙
“You don’t need to get anywhere... you just need to embrace your life”
Biggest takeaway from my second day in training with Mark Whitwell at Yoga Barn... unlearning the tendency for spiritual seeking and embracing the magic of life in this moment.
➿💫Meeting yogi sisters and brothers along the way is such a blessing. Connecting with like minded souls & sharing stories is a special part of the journey...and sometimes you have the same ring!🍒#bewisewithyourmagic
I was just told that the best way to practice this variation of Urdva Dhanurasana is to dedicate the pose to someone you love, take aim and fire that love straight up into the sky. Looks like I’m a little off the mark with this one.
There’s an apocalyptic vibe in Ubud today as the town prepares for Nyepi, a unique day of silence and reflection with no internet, supposedly no electricity and definitely no travel outside of the home. I’m watching my judgement of the tourists manically stocking up on Bintang and the ex-pats fretting about their possible lack of WiFi. It all brings out that ugly ‘urghh you don’t get it!’ side of me. So true that when we judge others we really are judging what we dislike about ourselves. (🙌🏾 @gabbybernstein
Selamat Hari Raya Nyepi. Keep the heart open my loves. ✨
After almost two weeks in the wilderness, I finally have a new iPhone. My old phone died dramatically and wasn’t properly backed up. Such a process to watch my mind and its abilities and inabilities to just let go. To observe my frustration in not being able to generate a feed of shareable content from my daily life ... and also observe the freedom I’ve found through just experiencing rather than constantly sharing. Would it be healthier just to be free from it all? Probably.
Just a few photos survived from my awesome Gili Meno trip with @sandyerrestad
... Including this one which a slightly creepy French dude insisted on taking after interrupting my peaceful morning practice. Sure dude.
More updates from Meno to follow. We L O V E D it there.
“When you plant seeds in the garden, you don't dig them up every day to see if they have sprouted yet. You simply water them and clear away the weeds; you know that the seeds will grow in time. Similarly, just do your daily practice and cultivate a kind heart. Abandon impatience and instead be content creating the causes for goodness; the results will come when they're ready.”- Bhikshuni Thubten Chodron 🌱 #jungleYogaBali
“Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu” 🙏🏽 May all beings everywhere be happy and free and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all. 💫 #jungleYogaBali @marinabuedoyoga

Dear Bali family,
We know prayers are powerful and collectiveness hightens it even more.
This is a warm invitation for us to gather as one and sing to raise love for our beloved Bali Mt. agung refugees.
All the donations will go to support the refugee camps.
Bring your loving hearts and friends. Also let us remember, chanting is a loving and healing act for ourselves.
Very looking forward to singing with you. ♥
