I myself am constantly progressing, learning & growing, training with other PT’s & focusing on making everything better - and I’ve been in the business for coming up to ten years!
I’m like a broken record with this, but again, I’m seeing far too many videos on Instagram and Facebook of “personal trainers”, either training themselves, or videos of their clients, with horrendous form and absolutely no idea how to coach. Nothing in fitness is as easy as it seems or as easy as it sometimes looks. There is not a single exercise, body weight or weighted, that doesn’t have many things going on and LOTS to think about, during every single phase of your rep. - I’ve just had a first session with a brand new client who learnt to deadlift in a body pump class and then ‘perfected’ her technique “via YouTube” 🤦🏼♀️ Let’s just say we took her 20kg none-deadlift to a 30kg near spot on, proper, conventional deadlift, in less than an hour 🙌🏻 because she asked!!!
