Great day of training and I only have 3 notches on my belt left before it's too big. This was the fastest I've moved 180 and the best I've felt on press in a while. Laubey working up to a 85% AMRAP.⠀ -⠀ At the moment our focus is on getting bigger and stronger while dialling it around footy training. He's put on about 8kg in a few months, aiding a huge increase in strength endurance. (Working well with high reps during working sets, close to his max and avoiding failure).⠀ -⠀ Injury is no joke ❌ we always ensure there is some effort left in the tank and no dodgy reps until failure. Alex happens to be maintaining technique and still increasing speed close to max efforts so as long as he is working well under this pressure and footy isn't sacrificed - we're keeping it up & saving the rest for what happens on the field.⠀

Here is four steps. 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Well number one is to have an unbiased perspective. This includes trying new evidence based studies to develop other ways of completing goals, without just sending people generic plans. It is personal. 🙆🏻‍♂️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Number two, to develop relationships. Pretty self explanatory. 💁🏻‍♂️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Number three, promote overall health and long term weight management. 🎚 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Number four, be real. Probably the hardest thing for a ‘coach’. Ok, what do I mean. Saying to someone its going to take 3 weeks to be in the best shape of your life is simply going to be a lie. Don’t lie, be real. Be genuine, say its going to be hard to lose weight. It is hard to lose weight, of course it is otherwise the UK wouldn’t be where it is. It is real easy to say calories in vs calories out, but actually doing it is completely another thing. It’s going to take time, and tell them that. 😤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Education of all of these will inevitably mean they WILL leave you after this. But I think thats a sign of a good coach. You don’t always have to retain someone, it’s not always about money (I understand for some it is) & its about being accountable to them (and not just them). 🔑 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lets Grow. 🔝
