Ok, I’ve got to brag on myself a little bit this morning. Today is the last day of a program I’ve been following to build up to testing my 1-rep max for squat, deadlift, bench press and overhead press. It’s been a huge success for me and this week I tested all my lifts and exceeded my initial goals. Here are my results for where I started to where I finished: Bench: 75 ➡️ 115 Overhead Press: 40 ➡️ 75 Squat and Deadlift: 150 ➡️ 205 The starting weights were not my max but just what I would typically lift when I wasn’t following any plan, so not exactly a fair comparison. But at the end of day, my strength and confidence is way up so that I feel good about continuing to add more weight to that bar. I used to stay up late destroying my body partying. - Now I wake up early to build it. - When I hear people say they HAVE to workout they don’t last long term as they are usually doing it for the wrong reasons. For a look, vacation/wedding, to impress someone else. They aren’t doing it for themselves or for their overall health. - Happy to have changed my mindset and it’s now part of my lifestyle. I still need to work on getting more active daily as I only lift 3-4 days a week. This summer has been great as I have been averaging 7km/10000 steps a day. Several things: - 1. 70kg 3x5 this is my final set and it is hard for me. After injury last year I lost practically all of my motivation for powerlifting. I lost a lot of strength and I’m still not back to where I was last year, but I’m nearly there and dammit I am trying! I’ve got a body, it works and I intend to use it in all these wonderful ways! - 2. I fucking LOVE my figure in this picture. Yes I am wearing a belt and that certainly holds everything in, however, my legs look strong, I have good posture and I feel powerful. Basically, I feel good about the way I look right now; I’m not at my target weight and I have a bit of extra squish but I don’t care, I love me and so does my boyfriend. - 3. Hi followers , today is a very great day like always that we have the bech press and squat into the same session . In this image i’m doing the barbell row just for warm up. The workout takes this two elements and work push strong using sets based on 4x5 and 2x6 using a percentage around 80% and 85% with some complementar excercise to push a lot of blood and nutrients at the end of the workout .
