Only 7 years in the making 🤦🏻♂️
On the left is me at 15... I never really changed much, if anything I just gained some fat and at 19 I was naturally broader of course but I didn’t have a chest, I didn’t have abs and I couldn’t lift my own bodyweight.
Over the last three years I really wanted to be a better version of myself and so I started weight training and then moved on to calisthenics. Being able to take part in a charity event for @worldpullupday
felt amazing because I never used to be able to do 4 pull ups... now I can do sets, weighted, different variations... it blows my mind what the human body can achieve if only your mind is in the right place.
And that’s why I’m writing this, because I want you to understand that if you have just bought a new workout programme and are meal prepping and all the rest of the cookie cutter stuff we all post here on Instagram and you aren’t seeing the progress you want to see - it’s not the end of the world.
It takes time, discipline, and maximum effort. The reason I can’t boast a “one year amazing calisthenics transformation” is because I wasn’t disciplined enough with myself... but I don’t care because I got this far and looking at this photo I think I can be proud, knowing what I can do when I put my mind in the right place only gives me more drive to continue with my training and smash new goals.
