🍇👑The King of Kings👑🍇
Cheers to the #wineweekend
! I hope everyone is enjoying their time together and sipping something tasty👌🏼! Today, sadly, I’m not. Rather, I wanted to highlight a side of wine we may not see as much on Instagram... Cellaring🕯! •
In my cellar, I have a king laying on his side. Who could it be, you might be ask? It’s none other than Barolo! Many revere Barolo to be the best wine Italy offers the world, hence where the title of the King comes from👑. This bottle is extremely special for two reasons: 1. It comes from one of, if not the best vintages for Barolo (2013) in the 2000s; and 2. It’s from Cannubi🏔. •
Cannubi is the most desired hill in all of Barolo! It’s extremely small, so fruit from here is few and far between and only a few producers can lay claim to it🍇!When you factor these two points together, how could I waste something so valuable today when the wine 🍷 will only get better in the future! Proper temperature and humidity controls, minimum exposure to light and laying a bottle on its side (to ensure the wine continues contacting the cork) are ESSENTIAL when cellaring wine!
The future will reward you with #pourrecommendations
for your patience, if you follow these tips when cellaring your wine☝🏼! You may be asking well when do I plan on drinking this one? I’ve got 2030 circled in my calendar! Who wants to join me then😉? What do you think about cellaring #pourwinos
? Do you buy wines with the intention to laying them on their side? Did you know these tips? Is it simply not your style? I’m ready to hear your opinion! The rest is up to you, start filling the comments up!
