Monday gives us an opportunity to start fresh! Use today to set the tone for the week. I got up and worked out first thing, made myself a green protein smoothie, went for a super long walk with Navy and finally got round to getting stuff sorted that I’d been holding off for ages. So I am thankful I used my Monday to start building good habits! 💕✌🏽

Not going to sugarcoat it 😏 I ate a ton of sugar and other delicious junk last night... so good and don’t regret it, but woke up feeling like a blob of tiredness.. almost skipped my run bc it was gloomy and wet outside... and I wanted more sleep... but I knew if I didn’t want to stay tired the rest of the day, I needed to get it in... and I feel so. Much. Better 🥳 .... also, why are husband’s T-shirts all superior over our own? 🤷🏻♀️
Today’s trail 10k tempo run just about killed me but I found this cool puddle to take a picture in so that’s fun! 🌲
Magical combo alert ⚠️: halloumi cheese + fried banana. TRUST ME.
I love halloumi cheese and I’ll never understand how I hadn’t encountered it before I moved to England. If you don’t know what it is - find it, try it and sit back as it changes your life forever. Salty, delicious and loaded with protein (up to 26% of its mass (1)), halloumi is good on its own, it’s good breaded, it’s good with lemon juice and dill, and I suspect it’s good with ANYTHING that you throw at it really.
I’ve been experimenting with it recently. Sandwich has:
- fresh sourdough bread
- baby spinach
- fried banana
- plum tomatoes
- balsamic glaze
- salt & pepper

June is one of my favorite months. Did you know it is Great Outdoors Month!? I did not! So if you love getting out and about and enjoying yourself, Great Outdoors Month is the perfect month for you! It’s a great opportunity to encourage children on the importance of outside play and how getting out and about can be part of a healthy lifestyle. Go for a stroll, a hike, just play outside! At a minimum, get at least a couple hours outside a week, studies show it's helpful for overall mental health and wellness. Getting out and about is often a free or cheap day out for families, and can be a lot of fun. It’s a great way to learn about nature and the environment and can form the basis of school projects. Already baby G is loving going out into the woods with me. Just the other day we simply say by a creek and threw rocks in, he loved watching the ripples! Happy Outdoors Month friends! It’s my due date! 🎉🤰👶💙 🍼 pregnancy has been quite the journey! I’ve learned that I’m stronger than I thought and that a lot of the stories we tell each other about major milestones in life are skewed toward the negative. Many people have made pregnancy sound absolutely terrible!!! Especially a summer pregnancy. But I choose to be positive! 💓 I don’t want to candy coat things. I’m always honest with you, but pregnancy hasn’t been as bad as I anticipated from what I’d been told. In the beginning, it was hard for me to let go of my own body expectations and allow myself to grow this baby. I consider that one of my first experiences as a mother learning to put her baby first. I’ve had shortness of breath, had to pee 3 times the amount of a normal adult 😹, had pelvic pain, insomnia, and restless leg syndrome. But I’d still say that I’ve had a smooth pregnancy. I put in effort each day to have a healthy pregnancy. I didn’t eat crap every single day (just occasionally! 😹) and I consistently worked out. I still had treats and ate plenty of calories for my little bebe. I’m still sitting at a 35 lb weight gain and I feel good about that! I really thought my baby would be born by now and all I can think about is meeting my little son. I’m ready to move on to the next chapter - being a mama! I cannot wait!!! Thank all of you for being the best support network and resources during this pregnancy! You’re the sweetest babes!!!!! xx! .
