A little update on my hip: I've been (mostly) pain free for five days now and my new chiro is surprised by how quickly I'm healing. He is confident that I'm on the road to recovery and I couldn't be more relieved. God is so good❣
Today was not a great day. I’ve almost cried a few times, I’ve wanted to yell and scream and break things! I took all of that anger and frustration out on my workout instead of my loved ones.
I’ve learned to pause and think about the situation. I visualize the end result that I want, and work backwards to figure out what I need to do to get there.
I use this with arguments, my weight loss, and just about everything in my life now. Every day I become a better person, and I will continue to strive to be better that I was yesterday!

I finally can say DAY 40 is done!!! I am over the hump!!
I am a day behind but what matter is that I DID IT!! Half way done!!
I needed the rest. I listened to my body and it was worth it. I felt better today.
Now on to enjoy my post workout meal and rest.
So...this may sound cliche or TOO simple, but this is pretty much exactly how I made the decision to make a positive, healthy, lifestyle change.
I was a new mom. A first time mom. And being a mom is TOUGH. I was tired and stressed about every little thing. Exercising was the last thing on my mind because I was too tired, didn’t have time, and it was not on my list of things to do that day.
I used to go to the gym at least 5 times a week. Like I actually had TIME to do that anymore?! Nope, I didn’t - and frankly, still don’t.
I had T25 discs sitting by my computer that a friend had loaned me. I may have done 1 workout, but that was about it. One evening, as I was sitting on the couch, I thought to myself, “This is ridiculous. If you’re not happy with yourself, do something about it.” That’s what I did. It was that moment in time when I said that, “Tomorrow is the day.” And it was.
I started T25 the next day. It was HARD. I literally wanted to cry. BUT, I didn’t. My whole body hurt. Everyday. I was reminded just how out of shape I was. BUT, I kept going and haven’t looked back.
That is where my journey first began. I am still on my journey and plan to be forever. It’s a lifestyle.

we are mid-way through the “work week” and I don’t know about you, but sometimes I start to burn out. I worked out Monday and Tuesday - the workouts were tough and my body is hurting! Usually I would make an excuse and say that I deserve another rest day. THINK AGAIN. -
I’ve got goals, I’m accountable to my challenge group, and I want to feel stronger and find balance in my life. Working in HR, it’s super busy and sometimes exhausting. We make excuses to say we are too tired and sit on our phones. GET UP & GET MOVING! Don’t let your work life take over your personal life.

My arms are too sore to even lift up my phone to take a selfie. 😂💪🏽 I never thought that I would be lifting weights 🏋️♀️ after my back surgery and I’m doing so in the comfort of my home.
I have only used resistance bands and baby weights for two 30-minute workouts and my arms feel like noodles! 🤯 Praise Jesus that today is a recovery day and my cheat day! Yes, I have to have 1 full cheat day per week... 🙏🏽🤷🏻♀️🤣 Loving this process so far! ♥️
