Ever wake up like “OOOO HELLO THIN BOD?” Ever wonder why? - 1️⃣ Scale Weight: Pretty self explanatory here. Our weight in the morning is lower than it will be any other part of the day. This is because, we’ll no brainer, you haven’t consumed much food or water in the past 8 hours. Unless you sleep walk and eat at 3 am. Our weight will fluctuate over the course of the day. Fun fact 3,500 calories = 1 lbs of fat. - 2️⃣ Water loss overnight: Sweating could cause slimness and urination (either peeing the bed or just getting up to pee LOLZ) but we’re focusing on respiration. Breathing out moisture and the function of our bodies pumping blood and keeping out internal organs working will cause water loss. PLOT TWIST If you consumed a high carbohydrate or high sodium meal the night before, you might retain more fluid. A heavy weight lifting session can also make you retain water the next day because of the swelling around the micro-tears in your muscles.. - 3️⃣ Height increases over night (wait WUT?): Yes so our height increases due to our spines lengthening. This may also be the reason you wake up and feel “taller”. Our spine increases length due to the intervertebral disks absorbing water as we sleep. When we wake up and stand all day, the disks between each vertebrae, or exss majors would say “jelly donut” are compressed and the fluids squeeze out making us appear shorter/back to normal height. WEIRD I KNOW our bodies are cool AF! Anyways the allusion of being taller will make you seem slimmmmm! - So if this was interesting and you read the whole thing give a like, and don’t forget to get a workout in... even if you’re at the beach. Consistency. No matter how much you crave consistency in your life, you can’t control it. They say the only thing that stays the same is that everything changes. At work, at home, in your relationships. Change isn’t comfortable. I don’t know about you, but it leaves me feeling anxious about the unknowns, irritated for losing comfort zones & sad for the distance that develops with those you were once closest to.💔No matter how uncomfortable change makes you feel, those feelings will too fade – proving to be one good thing that changes with time. ~ Remedy when feeling down:🤔.. Spending time in nature mixed with exercise. Can’t beat fresh air & endorphins. I look forward to exercise not because I hope to see a change, but because it’s a comfort to have one aspect of life stay consistent. One hour every day you can count on to slow your mind because holding a plank or pushing through burpees takes ALL your focus. Maybe that goes to show if you focus your energy on what you can control during challenges, you’ll eventually be amazed to find how strong those life changes made you. ~ Tonight I’m working out in my basement, but mentally I’m back here on vacation enjoying a total body workout by using nothing more than body weight and a few resistance bands. Literally able to HIIT the Beach with @toneitup 💪🏻No struggling to stay consistent with workouts while traveling ever again! ~ Here’s to focusing on consistency, staying strong through challenges, and learning to embrace change. Attitude is everything, and lately mine could stand to change.🙈

The goals I have for my body are to maintain and build strength while being #lean but healthy. It’s easy to get lean and be unhealthy i.e. being in a caloric deficit but not getting all the micronutrients I need because I’m too focused on the macronutrients.

A strong core has a lot of benefits! I’ve been adding in weighted core workouts after my mile runs and I have really been seeing results! This used to be really hard for me and I’m happy to see my progress 💪🏼
Viene un testamento: Partí haciendo deporte pensando en ser más flaca... en realidad quería que mi cuerpo mutara a 1 metro y medio de piernas de bailarina y tener completamente otra estructura ósea jaja. Eso era mi baja autoestima dirigiendo mi vida. Después vino la sorpresa que hacer 1 hora de cardio 2 o 3 veces a la semana no me servía de mucho! Simplemente no cambiaba nada en mi, ni física ni mentalmente. Empecé a utilizar pesas y bandas elásticas además de la trotadora y el fitball y todo cambió. El cambio fue asociado a una app que me enseñó a tener una rutina. Cada día involucra un grupo muscular diferente, y también hay 1 día de descanso activo. Cuando empecé usando @fitplan_app utilizaba el plan de entrenamiento de Jen Selter porque la admiro ene, lo que ha logrado hacer (comunidad en redes sociales sobre el fitness y ser amigables entre las mujeres, un grupo de soporte emocional de millones de mujeres de todas las edades, colores y realidades socioeconómicas) pero no era el tipo de entrenamiento ideal para mi. Me cambié a entrenar con el plan de Linn Löwes. Ahí todo tomó su lugar en mi vida deportiva jaja, el plan está pensado en un tipo de cuerpo que se asemeja al mío, fácilmente muscular y la grasa distribuida inequitativa y casi únicamente en mi parte baja. Ya, el tema era el autoestima verdad? La cosa es que cada día que cumplía un entrenamiento, más que por cambios físicos (no veía ninguno aún) me sentía orgullosa de haber cumplido esa pequeña meta. Y eso lo repliqué por siempre. Pienso que a las 2 semanas ya me sentía adicta al fitness, me sentía muy bien, súper orgullosa, me empecé a sentir feliz de tener MI PROPIO CUERPO y agredecí poder entrenar con peso, ser fuerte mental y físicamente. Mi tiempo libre lo pasé leyendo cosas de deporte, como se liberan las hormonas, cómo se recupera el músculo. Alimentación, macros... forma de los movimientos y técnica. Creo que el deporte fue en muchos sentidos mi salvación, porque dejé ir mi mente altamente autodestructiva para reeducarla en el amor propio. Obvio que no me he sanado x arte de magia de todas mis trancas, pero voy kilómetros más cerquita de cómo quiero ser y vivir mi vida 💕 ojalá les sirva ✨
