With the launch of Counterman, I wanted to touch base with you all.
I'm going to get really honest with you. When I heard about the mens line launching- I scoffed a little. I mean, my first hand experience with men's grooming habits is Bronson's love of bar soap for everything, I mean the man doesn't even use shampoo! To say I was hesitant was an understatement.
Recently Bronson and I took a photo together and he looked at the photo and said 'Wow, you look young and beautiful. And as for me, well, I look OLD.' Not long after that incident we got the opportunity to try the full mens line from Beautycounter. And if you know Bronson personally, you know the man is all about comfort and convenience (ie his love of ankle socks with velcro strappy sandals. 😂🤔🙈). I really wasn't sure how well he would do with a regimen to follow. He can start out strong but tends to waiver after the 'new' wears off.
At nearly a month into his routine with Counterman he is still going strong! He has said he really likes the toner pads and face lotion. He uses the body was every day (And yes, he's using it as shampoo too 🤷🏼♀️ some habits never die). And while he never had bad skin and he has always been a gorgeous man, his skin looks healthier. I can tell he's feeling himself with his new routine and it makes me so happy!
So, if you, like I was, are feeling a little unsure about this mens line and if your guy would use it- start with ONE product. If you buy it, he will use it. Body wash or the body bar would be my suggestion. After a few weeks add in something else- my next suggestion shaving cream or beard oil depending on his needs.
I think men's skin care has been so under marketed that they don't even know if they want skincare. But, after my experience with my husband, I'd say they just need time to fall in love with it!
Ladies, good guys deserve great skin care. 💃🏼🕺🏽🙌🏻😏
