It’s time for #AskDrHunter
. This week we’ll be discussing a question regarding wheat allergies! “Dr. Hunter, I’m not sure if I’m allergic to wheat. How can I tell?" —Allison L. from Detroit, MI
Thank you for your inquiry Allison. Nearly everyone is allergic to today’s wheat, both white and whole, and I advise that you avoid it as much as possible. Wheat is a primary cause of weight struggles, fibromyalgia, acne, bloating, and most all digestion issues, as well as many psychological symptoms such as brain fog, poor sleep, irritability, depression, etc. If you have these symptoms, STOP your wheat intake and notice how much better you feel! Substitute raw nuts, grains such as amaranth, farro, red quinoa, wild rice, vegetables that are right for your blood type and lots of good quality olive oil, and you will not miss the wheat. There are many great recipes for seed breads!
