If you are like us and many other people who spend most of their life in front of laptops, watching TV or checking in their smart phone constantly or driving in our ubers or cars. We rarely get out into nature. While we may realise that this isn’t healthy, we simply don't have the time or energy to make a change, and besides, it's important to be "connected." Right ?
A lot of us lead a balanced and healthy lifestyle but don’t realize how nature deprived we really are. The other day I was talking to one of my friend discussing if she also feels the same and she was in consensus with me. We don’t really realize the mess where we are living in until and unless we go and connect with nature and see what beautiful healing power it has. People living closer to green space have fewer health complaints and live longer and that the green space itself is a stress buffer, helping people cope better with life’s adversity. We know that somehow we don’t have that privilege to stay in villages or remote locations forever because of work commitments and of course of not being able to leave the luxuries of life that we are habitual of . But we can certainly put some conscious effort to make sure that we aren’t nature deprived!
So we are listing below a few things that work really well for us. Do share in comments below your thoughts ! ————————————————————————
- Spend some mindful time in nature. Take 20 minutes a day to spend time in nature.
- Go hiking, walking, gardening, cycling, sitting, or meditating. - Go crazy with the plants. Put a plant in your office or wherever you spend a lot of time. - Take some time off once every two or three months. Getting away, relaxing, and spending time in nature meditating, eating healthy, and sleeping deeply is sure to make you feel rested, renewed, and back on track. - Think about bringing nature into your body, especially if you can’t get out into nature on a regular basis. Eat foods that are naturally available on this earth. - Bring green to your fitness i.e. try exercising outdoors.
Let’s try to be more connected with nature. Shall we ?
