And tonight’s was a freezer special which I made a few weeks ago....beef cheeks Italian style from a recipe brought back from travels a few years ago...along with coriander mash and steamed greens
On a cold icy evening, it was comfort food at its best #winning

I booked this restaurant via The Fork online and on arrival we were taken to a table on the first floor. It’s a little cramped but as we had a 7pm reservation not all the tables had diners so it didn’t feel as claustrophobic as it felt when we were leaving a couple of hours later. Excited by the limited yet varied menu we both went for mussels to start. They were perfectly cooked and accompanied with freshly made bread to soak up all the juices. Our next course was again matched with both choosing the Rabbit and Truffle spaghetti which was rich and full of flavour. Finally we tucked into the beef cheeks and the prawns, both served with a creamed mashed potato and again very tasty. We received good service throughout and shared a lovely bottle of Prosecco with the only disappointment being that we were far too full to try the Tiramisu.
