HOPPIN'FROG - B.O.R.I.S. THE CRUSHER
THIS 9.4% EXTENDED BARREL AGED OATMEAL IMPERIAL STOUT WAS AGED IN SELECT WOODFORD RESERVE BARRELS.
SOMETIMES ITS A BIT OF A LET DOWN WHEN YOU ARE EXACTLY ON THE MONEY WHEN PREDICTING HOW A POUR UP WILL TASTE. EVEN BEFORE READING THE LABEL I HAD AN IDEA THAT LETTING THIS EXPENSIVE STOUT SIT IN THE BARRELS FOR 5 TIMES LONGER WOULD RESULT IN SOME SERIOUS HARD WOOD (PAUSE) TASTING NOTES.
WHILE THIS STOUT IS CERTAINLY FULL BODIED, AND DEFINITELY LENDS ITSELF TO THE FRESH TOBACCO FLAVOR, ITS INTENSE OAK AND WOOD PRESENCE ON THE TONGUE I FIND TO BE A BIT OFFENSIVE. ITS LIKE CHEWING ON ROASTED MULCH.
NOT A FAN OF THIS ONE, BUT I FEEL LIKE OLD HEADS WHO ENJOY DARK BEER WILL WET THEMSELVES OVER THIS BREW. TO EACH HIS OWN I SUPPOSE.
Literally no filter (picture is awful) but Death by Tickle was one of the best beers I have ever had! This triple IPA is so smooth and it actually does leave a bit of a tickling sensation on your tongue! @levantebrewing is definitely worth the visit if you’re around the area! 🍺🍺🍺

We just wanted to tease you a little 😏 keep an eye out for this guy within the next few weeks! Details to follow.
What can I say about this one. Pours a deep copper colour with a fluffy white head. First initial smell is banana. On the taste I taste banana, cereal and malt. The banana flavour is a little artificial but not bad. Reminds me of the banana syrup they use for milkshakes. One thumb up. 👍🏻 #bananabread#flavouredbeer#givebeerachance#beernerd
@greencheekbeer@highlandparkbrewery Having Fun Juicy Double IPA W/ Apricots. 9% Dry Hopped With Citra.
Advertisers lie and commercials and ads are misleading. People will say just about anything to get you to buy their product and some breweries are no different. How many times have you purchased a beer based on what was promised or described, only to be let down? It’s happened to me more times than I can count so I’m always wary of what’s ‘supposed to be’ in the can. This one has 2 pounds of apricots per gallon and is supposed to taste like Kern’s Apricot Nectar. I grew up on Kern’s Nectars. In fact, they were my fruit servings on the food pyramid chart (remember that thing?). Green Cheek and Highland Park weren’t kidding with their description here. W O W! Out of the can, this beer is a body double for Kern’s juice. Thick and smooth, almost pulpy with a bright dark yellow/light orange color. The nose is 100% apricots... skin, flesh, juice and maybe even the pit... sweet, tangy and tart. In the mouth this is a little piece of heaven. You have to like apricots, but if you do, you’re in for a treat. All apricots up front and not like subtle hints of apricots. This is like taking a huge bite of a real, perfectly ripe and juicy apricot. It’s sweet, slightly tart and just a little bit chalky. Citra is only there in spirit as this is apricot’s show, but man is this good. It’s literally like a hopped up adult version of Kern’s Apricot Nectar and this description was right on the money. But 9%? I think there might have been an error there as my cans have no trace of any alcohol. 😏 One of my all-time favorites from @greencheekbeer and I hope they decide to can this again in the future. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love the name of this one from @otherhalfnyc. Anyone else have it? What did you think?

This beer was berry delicious. Bumbleberry Pie from @funkfactorygeuzeria uses blueberries, raspberries, and boysenberries which give it a big berry flavor. It’s slightly tart but not overwhelmingly so. I enjoyed almost everything about this beer. My only complaint was that it took forever to open because off all the wax that was used to seal the bottle.

Ultimate Brew Pale Ale
Ultimate Brew is new on the scene and their pale ale is first.
Classic tropical fruit flavours and citrus aroma proving a good combo in the sunshine ☀️ (sunshine behind me)
I do appreciate the label as well
Cheers to this and to many more @ultimatebrewco

Hazards Ale, enjoyed in front of “The Hazards” mountain range, seemed like the right place to drink it. A malty, slightly yeasty Pale Ale, with a good hop bite.
