A lot of us dreams of being lighter, fitter and healthier only to not want to feel uncomfortable. Guess what? No matter how slow you go, how much of a not so restricted diet you follow and how chill you are when approaching weight loss, it will always, always be uncomfortable.
In fact, breaking news: any kind of change is uncomfortable. You'll scream, squeal and even cry somedays but that's a sure sign that you are going in the right direction - if you can stay consistent and repeat the uncomfortable process day in and day out that is.
Some examples of feeling uncomfortable while changing are:
1⃣ You'll probably feel hungry - and that's uncomfortable, especially when you're so used to feeling full all the time. And that's okay - because you may be at a stage where you need to relearn how being hungry feels.
2⃣ You'll crave - a lot more than usual. Especially when you're exercising at the same time.
3⃣ You'll miss having those pizzas and chocolates and while having it once in a while is not a big deal, you need to start cooking and choosing healthier foods most days. And it can be uncomfortable saying no to your favourite maggi goreng.
Look, I get it. But anything worth having in this world is never going to be comfortable. So my advise? Chill, enjoy the discomfort and focus on taking it one day at a time. Embrace it. Because it's only when you start settling down is when change will stop happening. And you don't want that. Because you got your goals to meet and dreams to achieve.
So say hi to discomfort, again and again. You got this. Coach Aqilah - @aqilahnorazman #yougotthis #bestdayoftheweek
